Church leaders have always been required to teach ONLY what is clearly stated in the NT,
and NOT any of “the doctrines of men” Paul warned about (Colossians 2:22, Titus 1:14, etc.).
Historically, there are various reasons why most church leaders have failed to teach some
extremely important Scriptural Truths to the church (which is another topic entirely).
Church leadership should have been teaching Major Truths such as these:
1 ● The Trinity before the Incarnation
BEFORE the birth of Jesus, the Triune Godhead (the Trinity) was: God the Father,
God the Word, and God the Holy Spirit … This should be obvious from John 1:1.
Jesus, the Son of God, was NOT in heaven prior to the Incarnation because
He was not born yet! Jesus was called “the Son of God” ONLY because …
▪ God the Holy Spirit created/formed the “fully man” part of Jesus in virgin Mary’s womb
(Matthew 1:18-20; Luke 1:35)
▪ God the Word “became” flesh-human-Jesus (John 1:14) … making Him “fully God”
2 ● Holiness for born-again Christians
Born-again Christians are sanctified (set apart) unto holiness by the Holy Spirit.
The NT insists that believers live holy lives … because God is holy, etc.
And Jesus says those who love Him will prove it by obeying Him!
3 ● Father God draws His chosen ones
Humans are UNABLE to believe in Jesus … primarily because of their inherited sin nature
and because of their being captives/slaves of Satan (who basically controls them)!
@ Jesus says, “No one CAN (is able to) come to Me unless the Father who sent Me
draws (drags) him” (John 6:44) >>> And again, regarding their INABILITY, He says,
“no one CAN come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.” (John 6:65).
The Greek word “helko” means to “draw” or “drag” (Strong’s #1670).
Be sure to note these 2 “helko” dragging verses: Acts 16:19 and James 2:6.
@ Several verses say that God gives FAITH to people so they will be able to believe:
Acts 3:16 (LB), Acts 16:14 (all translations), 2 Peter 1:1 (NLT), Jude 3 (NLT), etc.
It is reasonable to say: After God gives a person FAITH to believe the Truth about Jesus
(is this the drawing/dragging part?), he/she has the free will to refuse to accept it, etc.
4 ● Our mortal enemy Satan
Indwelling demons compel people to do harmful things. Born-again Christians cannot be
“demon possessed” because the Holy Spirit possesses them … but they can be “oppressed”
by demons in their bodies and souls. Non-Christians can be both possessed and oppressed.
Jesus defeated His (and our) arch-enemy Satan at the Cross … and He gave born-again
Christians the authority to cast demons out of people (esp. if they have point 5 below).
5 ● The baptism with the Holy Spirit
The baptism with the Holy Spirit is NOT the same as the born-again experience!
@ When the Holy Spirit comes INSIDE a person, he/she is born again.
(About 10 NT verses talk about born-again Christians having the Holy Spirit INSIDE.)
@ When the Holy Spirit comes UPON a person, he/she is “baptized with the Holy Spirit”.
(7 NT verses connect the Holy Spirit coming UPON believers with this Holy Spirit baptism.)
@ The church’s suppression of this truth has been disastrous to the church (and to society)
due to the fact that countless people over 2000 years have NOT been …
▪ healed of their sicknesses, illnesses, diseases, etc.
▪ delivered (set free) from the demons who inhabited (or plagued) them
▪ shown God’s confirmation of the Truth of the Gospel through miracles done by believers
6 ● TODAY - The church needs to prepare herself
The church needs to be warned and prepared for what is coming soon!
Christians should be storing as much food, water, medical supplies, etc. as they can afford!
@ Church leaders have been promising a very popular (but erroneous) pre-tribulation rapture.
A small “first fruits” group of believers (the 144,000?) may be redeemed from the earth first,
but the vast majority of Christians will be left behind to endure the period of the Antichrist.
This will cause hard feelings towards pastors who have been promising a pre-trib rapture,
which will result in a great falling away from the Faith of many church people!
@ The most critically-important warning: Everyone must NOT receive the mark of the beast
on their right hand, or on their forehead … and everyone must NOT worship the image of
the beast … or they will be tormented with fire and burning sulphur forever and ever
(see Revelation 13:15-17, 14:9-11, 20:4)! This mark will be necessary to live as before,
for buying and selling, etc. … so Christians need to be well prepared … as warned above!
The church would be wise to study the Book of Revelation to understand what is going on.
