The Hunter

A pastor during vacation time, decided he was going to bag a bear during hunting season and after obtaining proper permits and such, he loaded up his car with the necessary supplies and headed for the wilderness... With hunting gear and rifle in hand he headed into the lush forest in bear country.

He had been traveling for quite awhile and stopped to rest by a tree, and suddenly saw a bear coming... He got so excited he jumped up with his gun and backing up put his cross hairs on the bear. Unfortunately backing up to get the exact shot he needed, he hit the trunk of a tree, where he was sitting with the butt of his rifle, which flew from his hands to the ground.

The bear at that moment paying no attention to the hunter, heard, then saw him in his agitation to get his rifle and came running full speed... The hunter knew he could never get to his rifle fast enough to kill the bear so he dropped down to his knees and prayed with all his might... LORD!... MAKE THIS BEAR A CHRISTIAN!... At that very moment that he said that the forest was draped in silence... The hunter then raise his head and opened his eyes and and there was the bear five feet in front of him on his knees, paws clasped in prayer, saying... Lord bless this meal that I am about to receive... Brother Glen
