The Immoral Majority by Ben Howe

This is a very interesting book. I just started listening to it. It definitely asks some tough questions of the American Evangelical movement. How does a believer deal with the apparent moral failings of our president? How important are they when considering who to vote for in the next election? Is it better to not vote and concede power in order to protect the purity of the church's message?

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

President Trump is a sinner that is apparently expected to publicly confess all of his sins. Why is that standard applied to him only?

Why not previous Presidents?
Why not his current opposition?

Is he promoting the LBGTQ agenda?
His opponents are.

Is he promoting late term abortion or even worse?
How about his opponents?

Is he for decriminalization of All drugs?
How about his opponents?

I agree the standard should be applied equally to all public servants. And on the issue of abortion I wholeheartedly agree with you as well. However, should not the reaction of evangelicals be to repudiate his sexual immorality, lying, and hateful speech rather than justify it for the sake of pragmatic goals?

Why don't you put down that propaganda book and seek your guidance from God's word?
I mean do not necessarily agree with this author. But I only mean to point out the moral dilemma we face by supporting an Immoral leader uncritically.
