LAW IS NOT SIN BUT INDICATOR OF SIN

    Romans 7.7-13

Paul again emphasizing on a fact that the Law itself is not Sin but points and identifies Sin for us to know and to avoid it. In this sense the written Law acts as a Second Conscience, warning us not to commit Sin already identified by our internal Conscience.

Written Law (Commandments) expose Sin not for temptation to commit Sin but to avoid it. But when we read forbidden Rules, Regulation, and Behavior, as Paul said here, we may become attractive to Sin described in the written Law and have desire to try it, just like Eve was attracted to forbidden fruit enticed by its good look and with the help of the Devil took the bait of Sin.

Because of such matter, Paul made a certain paradoxical conclusion that such presentation of Sin in the Law makes us at the same time vulnerable to tried it. Such temptations cause us to fall Spiritually and come to Life each time we obey the Law.

It seems we have constant struggle between Law and the Sin it exposed, and we constantly die or come to Life each time when we obey the Law or disobeying it. The Law in this sense bring Life or Death, all according to our own choice of behavior.

To make a final point Paul firmly declared that the Law is Holy (verse 12). It is Holy because it came from the Holy GOD, and all the Commandments, Regulations, Statutes, and Laws are Holy and Righteous.

And not only that, but Paul also said here that the Law also Spiritual (verse 14), which underline the same importance of the written that the Law came from the Holy Spirit of GOD and because of it the Law is also Holy.

Those who obeying the Holy Law of the Holy GOD also became Holy and Righteous.

If the Law is Holy so is every Word and every Commandments in the Law is Holy, and it should be no discussions, arguments, or doubts concerning the Righteousness, Truthfulness, and Holiness of the Law. The Spiritual Law of GOD never out of date, it is always present and always active, forever.

The struggle between our Conscience and the Word of GOD is everyday occurrence and constant struggle. The pleasure and sweetness of Sin is very attractive but will turn into bitterness by condemnation of our Conscience and GOD. The short time of pleasure always turns into lifetime of suffering (22-25).
