The Magdeburg Confession.....

Just ordered a copy from Amazon.com ..... anybody ever read this ? is it a good read ?
I heard it being discussed on the radio and thought it sounded pretty much like the principles of Liberation Theology on which clergy members in the Philippines based their armed resistance to the dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos.

They said this is the English version and the originals were always in Latin.

If you mean the Madeburg Confession of 1550. It's Lutheran in its POV (M'burg was\is a Lutheran city) not Reformed\Calvinist. Since it dates from the Sixteenth Century, the Confession wolud not be the product of Liberation Theology. And yes, the originals would be in Latin. In 1550, Latin was the academic language of Western Europe. It mattered not if the writer was RCC or Protestant.
