Now that the "monkey" is off his back - anyone think that he'll win more "Majors?"

Was thrilled at his win and the family scene at the scorer's table. Way to go Phil!

I hope he does well and picks up a few more majors. HE certainly showed the ability to keep it together after losing those strokes early on.

    My favourite Masters in years.

I am NOT a Tiger fan.

Way to go Phil. It was a long time coming. He deserves this win. Let's go for the grand slam. I just like to watch Phil play. [IMG]

    Good Question Dan,

Phil is playing great this year - he rededicated himself to the game. But - Phil is a dedicated family man, it is going to be tough to maintain the "edge" that he had this week. I think that he will be more of a Fred Couples type - he will contend and win the occasional tourney, and may win one or two more majors over the course of his career, but I dont think that he will win close to the number that Tiger has already won.

That had to be the best Masters that I can remember watching. The only way it would have been topped is if Phil and Ernie had been paired together and slugged it out the way they did down the back nine!

[IMG] [IMG] The only reason I didn't hoot and holler was cause it was after 11 and my dear wife was asleep. But I hooted and hollered inside [IMG]

I was very happy to see Phil win one. I like the way he plays and handles himself. I think it is very possible that he got that monkey off his back that he could very easily win alot more majors. I think if he keeps his focus and intensity that he could give Tiger quite the run for the next few years.

I am no Tiger fan - was not sad to see him fade away in the distance.

Phil being my favorite golfer, I have to give him props for this one!

Well, where will Phil go from here? Do you think this is what he needs to get on a roll? He has moved up to number 6 in the world...could this be what he needs to push himself toward the top?

I question why left-handers even TRY to play the game. Most of the courses are cut for right-handed players.

Phil was the last "name brand" US player of that generation that hasn't won the big one. Now that is past, and don't know WHO will be the new media darling to bear the title of "loser" that Phil has borne so long.

    Any ideas?
