The Meaning of the Pentateuch, Revelation, Composition and Interpretation

by John H. Sailhamer, Professor of Old Testament Theology at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary
    IVP Academic

John Sailhamer communicates difficult information in an easy to understand manner.
His book helps to answer many questions that I've been researching for years.
It will change the way you read the Hebrew Scriptures and bring life into the 'old book'.

InterVarsity Press provides a sample of the book (below) at their web site. It is a full study in itself. You've really have to read it.

My NT Prof recommended Sailhamer's NIV Compact Bible Dictionary (although the prof actually prefers the NASB to the NIV) in our NT2 class. He kept saying how helpful it is and what a good job Sailhamer does in summarizing the books of the Bible and how we should get it. I do have it although I've only used it for some NT books so far.

So I imagine that this book is probably really worth having.
