An interesting story about an elite group of pilots during the Vietnam War. It is excerpted from a new book entitled, Bury Us Upside Down: The Misty Pilots and the Secret Battle for the Ho Chi Minh Trail, by Rick Newman and Don Sheppard:

kinda leery about new books about events that happened 30 some years ago. people tend to forget things and change stories.

Then I would kindly suggest, sir, that you neither read the article nor purchase the book.

But perhaps someone else will be interested in doing one or the other or both.

Then you must've really hated Flags of our Fathers about the flag raisers on Iwo Jima, 60+ years ago.

On the other hand, "new" information which had been disregarded or unaccessible often becomes available.

Perspective usually will change as time lengthens, but that doesn't mean a different view is a wrong one. Two views may be different yet equally valid.

Thanks, KenH for the article! I love reading war history---particularly WW2, Korea(the Forgotten War) and Vietnam War.
