It was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I loved it.

Haven't seen it yet, but one of my friends from church saw it, and said it was great, highly recommending it.

I saw all of the actors on Oprah and will probably wait until it comes out on video/pay-per-view.

It looked like a good movie.

It is already out on DVD and video. I highly recommend it. Probably the most powerful film that has come out in a long time. It was an excellent movie that viewed race relations and racial sterotypes in America from ALL points of view. Here is a link to the synopsis.

I would have to agree with you, filmproducer.

As some might take offense by the scenery and language, I would recommend it.

    Saggy,

It did the same for me! It was so powerful, and, IMO, the scenery and the language made it all the more real. They did not shy away from the subject matter in any way. It was not a sugarcoated only in Hollywood type of movie. I can't say anything bad about it. It is a MUST see in my book.

Crash should not be promoted by christians at all. It is full of sexual situations, profanity, and violence

Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Since my earlier post, I saw the movie. I agree with Filmproducer. Probably the most powerful film that has come out in a while.

SFC, the "sexual situations, profanity, and violence" are actually condemned in this movie, not glorified. It also contains racism and lying, which are also condemned in the movie.

if they are condemned, why have them in the first place?

One does not condemn something by taking part in it.

Let's not hijack this thread with more legalism, please.

The thread is not being Hijacked. The thread is about the movie Crash and what people think of it.

The Bible tells us what we are to think of it, and that is not legalism.

You haven't seen it, so you can't say what you think of it. You can only say what you think of seeing it based on review of others. Fair enough. You've posited you $.02. Let it go.

How can you say I have not seen it? You are making presuppositions.

Being blind, I have been taken many places by people that I would not normally go if I had sight to drive myself.

As a minister, I have gone into homes to visit or counsel and seen videos on tv that were not becoming of Christians.

You cannot automatically make an assumption that I have not seen a movie just because I make statements about it.

Also, whether one sees a movie or not, if the ratings (R is pretty indicative that it is unfit) and movie companies tell you what the movie is about, and the Word of God tells you not to have part with them, you must obey the Word of God.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
