The NCAA put Baylor on 3 years of probation

    What's illegal about calling/texting to recruit? :confused:

    The issue is that you can make only "x" number of calls and texts. After a three year review by the NCAA reviewing about 900,000 texts and phone calls, 1200 or so were deemed to be in violation. That's 1/10 of 1%. Part of the problem was due to not properly tracking calls when the recruit was not available. Since then, new software has been implemented. The NCAA agreed to the self imposed penalties - which Baylor put into place last year - without even holding a hearing on the matter.
