I just posted over in what are you reading about a book written by John Feinstein (author of a good walk spoiled) The Open - a book about the 2002 US Open Golf Championship at the Bethpage black golf course - the first true public golf course to host an Open Championship (Feinstein does not include Pebble Beach and thier $175/round green fee)

This was a great book, a behind the scenes look at the Open at Bethpage from the guy who had the idea to have it there to the Open itself - although very little of the book is devoted to the actual golf.

I recommend this book highly!
