The Partial Rapture "Theory" Explained

The Rapture of the Bride of Christ is the next event scheduled inside the plan of God which was spoken into existence complete from beginning to end in a "moment" before time. With its occurrence the Church Age will come to its conclusion and the final chapter of the history of the world will begin with The Great Tribulation. All who have failed to heed the warnings clearly stated by the Word of God that would have pointed each to an escape of this gruesome period of history, will be engulfed by the horrors it will bring. Deceit, betrayal and perversion will be the norm. No one will be safe or can be trusted. Once entered, the only available exit will be through the passageway of physical death which will be so common as to not be a second thought on the mind of a twisted and bloodthirsty world.


Chapter Five

Once upon a time, I received a telephone call at work. I happened to be on break at just that moment and had a few minutes. A life long friend of mine which I had enjoyed many years of Bible study with, was on the other end of the line with a search question.

“I need one verse from the Bible that points conclusively from our perspective to the Pre-Tribulation Rapture” he said.

“Well”, says I a bit hesitantly, “There is only one passage in the whole of scripture that contains precisely what you are looking for, but you can’t use it”.

“And, why not”? He asked quite defiantly.

“Because, all passages that refer to the Rapture, when taken in that context by those of us who believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture, also contain a condition of some sort to be met in order to be included in the event. The Church as a whole has overlooked that truth. You do not believe in the Conditional Rapture. The verse you are looking for, if taken literally in its entirety and at face value, confirms quite adamantly within that context what you do not believe in. You will not even be able to use the portion that verifies that the Rapture is Pre-Tribulational, due to the means by which it is revealed”.

I continued, “Every passage in the scripture that contains a Pre-Tribulational Rapture teaching, also confirms the condition by which one is include or excluded. These teachings have simply been ignored or at least overlooked by the Church. If one accepts the whole of each passage at face value, the Rapture and the associated conditions cannot be separated from one another. It’s as if God by his divine creativity nit them together in his word. That is how I came to refer to it as “The Conditional Rapture”.

The teachings that are being addressed here are The Rapture, its Pre-Tribulational timing and that Jesus is not coming back to retrieve the entire Church, only the true Bride of Christ that has kept herself chaste and worthy, who is encased inside the Church.

The scripture does confirm that the entire Church as a whole (baring no individual member) is espoused or engaged to Christ at this present time.

2ndCorinthians 11:1-2
1 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.
2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

But most of the Church has corrupted itself from the simplicity that is in Christ by not keeping itself chaste.

2ndCorinthians 11:3
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

With the completion of the engagement period of this marriage proposal, the Lord will return for his Bride to remove her from the body of what is referred to as The Church, sweeping her from this physical into the spiritual. This extraction will result in a divorce between the Bridegroom and the unfaithful believers. What is left of the Church then enters the Great Tribulation Period where it has now become the first members of the group known as the tribulation saints.

This is the reason the Church is not mentioned in the narrative of Revelation beyond chapter four. Upon the completion of the Rapture of the Bride of Christ, the Church no longer exists.

After the departure of The Bride the individuals that remain (the largest majority of the Church) enter into the Great Tribulation taking their place as the individual saints of the tribulation. They also constitute the first of two groups that are seen by John (Revelation 6:9-11) who are recorded to have come out of Great Tribulation (Revelation 7:13-14).

Revelation 6:9-11
9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

This narrative takes place during the Great Tribulation as confirmed by the elder to John. But in verse eleven of chapter six it must be pointed out that the individuals that are given robes, are told they must remain resting yet for a little while until their fellow servants and their brethren that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

This tells us that there are two classes of saints inside the Great Tribulation. One class are fellow servants to John, which would constitute those who came to a knowledge of Christ inside The Great Tribulation and are fellow servants to him. The other being called brethren indicating they were believers before the arrival of the Great Tribulation and direct blood kin to John under the New Covenant. Both classes of tribulation saints will pay for their entrance into this time period of world history with their lives.

Revelation 7:13-14
13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Also found in chapter seven verse fourteen is the mention of the robes of the individuals which came out of Great Tribulation. When a child of God receives their robe it is clean upon reception of it. It is their wedding garment that we are to take care to keep unsoiled. However, it was necessary for these robes to be washed, implying they were soiled at the onslaught of the Great Tribulation Period.

This cleansing process took place during the Great Tribulation as the saints which entered that time gave their lives for their faith after repenting of the sins that cause their entrance into the great day of the Lord in the first place. The garments which have been cleansed then become a testimony of their repentance inside the Great Tribulation.

Pre-Tribulationist, which at the close of the 20th century made up the majority (although declining) opinion of the Evangelical world, believe Jesus is coming back before the Great Tribulation, (which is correct) and he is taking the entire Church, lock, stock and barrel, back to heaven with him regardless of their degree of individual disobedience. (Regrettably, I’m afraid not).

If one wishes to study what the Word of God has to say concerning the Great Tribulation, one will have to study, at the very least, the three passages mentioning the Great Tribulation by name.

1 Jesus himself teaching of it in Matthew 24:21.
2 Jesus himself making point of it in Revelation 2:22.
3 One of the “elders” explaining to John who is to come out of it in Revelation 7:14.

To overlook or ignore any one of these passages is to deny the teachings they contain. They speak for themselves, as does the entirety of God’s Holy Word.

Revelation 2:22
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

This is the verse of scripture my friend could not use as a Pre-Tribulation passage although it teaches conclusively that there will be an event which will result in someone avoiding the Great Tribulation Period. If the teaching of an avoidance of that time is not a confirmation of Jesus’ description of an escape of it, I don’t know what is. This would only agree with the teaching of a “caught up” event which is Pre-Tribulational, and that is the current definition of the Rapture. Therefore, found in these passages is the scriptural documentation of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture.

Revelation 2:22
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

At the same time however, the entrance into the Great Tribulation is documented by the same passage through a connecting phrase making entrance into that terrible time by the same group being addressed undeniable.

Only the presence of the condition makes escape from The Great Tribulation a possibility. Both teachings exist simultaneously in the same passage with the use of the connecting phrase forever linking them together. I do not understand how the Church has missed the presence of them in the scripture. RevJW

 

Partial Rapture Explained

There has been an increasing number of attacks through the Internet on and of the notion of The Partial Rapture. Yet there has been no link or individuals directing anyone to the most complete study done on this subject.
All of the answers are not found in this work, but most of the common questions are addressed. The parable of the ten virgins is the weakest example of scriptural evidence, although I do not discount those which site these passages.
However, in the current work, thirteen chapters address twelve directions from which the Partial Rapture can be validated directly from The Word of God.

Escaping The Coming Storm

Any Christian discounting or directly denying the teachings of the Partial Rapture need only analyze how their current doctrines and beliefs agree with Revelation 2:22. It is the most definitive passage in the scripture documenting the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, and at the same time giving a description of an avoidance of the Great Tribulation (not being cast into, or the “escape” of Luke 21:36). Quite clearly however, that avoidance is conditional, as we explain, which will lead to a partial “catching up” of the church.

Revelation 2:22

22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

Revelation 2:22

22 Behold, I will cast her (Jezebel) into a bed, and them (the members of the church, believers) that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

The deed that the members of the church of Thyatira are guilty (and todays modern Church) is the sin of adultery against their bridegroom Jesus Christ. (2 Cor. 11:1-3). The world is not engaged or “espoused” to Christ and can not commit adultery against Jesus. Therefore, they are in a constant state of fornication through unbelief, as is Jezebel. The adulterers (members of the church) are to be cast into The Great Tribulation, unless (except) they repent of their “deeds”. If they repent, the opposite of the recorded punishment will ensue. They will “escape” entrance into the Great Tribulation.

All other passages in the scripture teaching or confirming the teachings of the Partial Pre-Tribulation Rapture are supportive of this one verse. They are scattered throughout the entirety of the New Testament. Most of them are documented in our book,
