The Party of Death will not let the Sanctity of Life Bill come to a vote

In fact, in the Democratic controlled House, it hasn't made it past the Introduction status when it was introduced by Rep. Ron Paul in 2007:

H.R. 1094: Sanctity of Life Act of 2007
To provide that human life shall be deemed to exist from conception.

2/15/2007--Introduced.

Sanctity of Life Act of 2007 - Declares that: (1) human life shall be deemed to exist from conception, without regard to race, sex, age, health, defect, or condition of dependency; and (2) the term "person" shall include all such human life. Recognizes that each state has authority to protect the lives of unborn children residing in the jurisdiction of that state .
Amends the federal judicial code to remove Supreme Court and district court jurisdiction to review cases arising out of any statute, ordinance, rule, regulation, or practice, or any act interpreting such a measure, on the grounds that such measure: (1) protects the rights of human persons between conception and birth; or (2) prohibits, limits, or regulates the performance of abortions or the provision of public funds, facilities, personnel, or other assistance for abortions.
Makes this Act applicable to any case pending on the date of enactment.

All you professing pro-life Democrats need to write your Reps and find out why it hasn't gone to committee and brought to the floor for a vote all these months, that is, if you are truly pro-life. :tear:

A point worth noting is that the GOP controlled all three branches of the government for most of this and the last decade, and they did nothing.

They did get the votes of the Religious Right though, and stayed in power.

Yes, it is worth notice and thank you BIR. But the present bill has been in limbo for the past year. President Bush would sign it. I am praying that a miracle will happen and it will be voted upon and Pres. Bush will sign it before he leaves office. Will you join me in that prayer?

Bush won't sign it - even it this made it to his desk, he would leave it for the next President. If he were going to sign it, he would have done it already. This the same party that was discussing a "Constitutional option" when it came to forcing Alito through the process.

Regards, hope all is well,

I believe Bush will sign it but first there has to be a bill for him to sign. Will you agree in prayer with me about it? Thanks.

Nah, Bush will not sign this. Again, he had a GOP-controlled Congress and only managed to talk about abortion when it was an election year. Notice that it took Ron Paul to introduce this bill, the man who in many cases is abandoned by the GOP for being a true maverick (not simply someone who falsely claims to be one like McCain!!).

Personally, I am pro-life - politically I would support the right of a woman to choose. After all, she alone will answer for the decision she makes.

Looks like we have our own private discussion here. This is rather nice. Hope you are enjoying Autumn in Tennessee. Be sure to head down to the GSMNP to marvel at the colors.

Again, hope all is well with you and yours,
BiR

Please note that I have already said that I am personally pro-life. It's still a woman's right to choose. Neither of us have any input into a decision where we don't have to live with the consequences.

Party of death is an apt name for democrats...including those democrats who call themselves Christians.

The GOP did nothing against abortion except the late term bill. Accept it. They were using YOU for political purposes.

The state has a right as assigned by the people to protect innocent lives from murderers to include heartless mothers.

You are wrong. I am pro-life, and politically I believe in a woman's right to choose. That may not work in your world, but that doesn't change mine.

It certainly is, especially christians dems who say they are pro life but when it comes down to it they refuse to say abortion is wrong women have a choice, and refuse to pray for it.
you can't be pro life and believe in a choice, some need to stop lying to themselves.

Sure you can - I just did.
I am personally pro-life, politically I believe it is a woman's right to choose. To me, it is no different than telling someone what they can and cannot do in their life, or what they can and cannot believe.

A point worth noting is that I specifically wrote that they are responsible for the consequences for that choice, in this life, and when they go before the Almighty. Personally, I believe abortion is wrong, and the person involved will answer for the choice they make. But it is their choice.

Apparently we can never witness to anyone and talk about sin, if we do we're telling them how to live and thats wrong according to you. And our pastors should stop preaching about sin, they have no right to tell anyone that anything is wrong, just make sure they make their own right choices, and who cares about others. Especially babies.
Everything you just said goes against scripture.

Good points.

Kinda sounds like "pro choice" is similar to pro sin.

When God removes his restraining hand, He allows us to choose to sin or not. In the case of abortion, pro choice means that they always choose to sin by murdering a child.

Pity some "Christians" suppport that choice.
