The Passion revisited?

So what is Mel Gibson doing after his blockbuster movie “The Passion of the Christ”? Trying to revive another dying language.

He did mention, however, that one of his major inspirations is the Popol Vuh, a sacred manuscript of mythic stories written in Quiché (a Guatemalan Mayan language) shortly after the Conquest. Glad you asked. Many made Mel Gibson their "pastor by proxy" when they bit on all of the supposed "holiness" surrounding the Passion movie. Even the SBC got on the bandwagon. If Mel releases this movie, and it is about mayan mysticism, how will they feel about their spiritual guru then? Maybe it will bolster the sale of mayan mystical books, the same way it propped up the sales of the Catholic mystics books that the movie was predominantly based on.
