Daisy, Considering that "jihad" is very similar to our term "evangelism", do you still contend that Islamic countries that promote and harbor terrorists like Saddam's Iraq are no threat to us?

Islam teaches that the world must convert. Force is not ruled out as an option and the voices of "moderate" muslims against this have been pretty low.

I can't imagine Baptists from any point on the spectrum accepting the notion of forced conversions... much less the killing of those who refuse... yet they are commonplace even in "moderate", "secular Islamic countries like Egypt.

A significant percentage of Islam believes that Christians should convert, accept second class status, or die.

 

I hadn't heard of acceptance of second class status as an option before.

They can't be officers in the military or hold positions of trust.

They have reduced property and other legal rights. Complaints of abuse against muslims are often arbitrarily ignored for serious matters such as assault and rape. In other cases if I am not mistaken, a Christian can be charged with falsely accusing a muslim even if the charge was valid but defeated in an Islamic court.

If I am not mistaken Christians rank beneath muslim women under sharia law.
