First of all let me begin by saying that I am absolutely positive that there are no contradictions in the Word of God. Now, with that being said I have a question. In 1 Sam16:10-11 it appears as if Jesse had eight sons including David, but in 1Chr 2:13-15 it appears that Jesse had only seven sons with David being the seventh. I look forward to your comments.

    Possible explanations:
    1. son-in-law or grandson could be considered a son.
    2. one son's name blotted out in the genealogy.
