The Time of reconciliation and Romans 5:10

Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Look at the time terms found in bold in the above text!

1. It is "when we were enemies......we were reconciled" NOT before we were enemies in eternity past or at the cross!

2. The transition point between "were" and "being reconciled' is "NOW RECEIVED"

3. In context the time "RECEIVED" has been spelled out and repeated over and over again previous to Romans 5:10-11 or when they were "justified by faith" - Romans 5:1; Romans 4:5-11; Romans 3:25-28.

4. The time of justification was not PAST TENSE but it is presented as FUTURE TENSE and conditioned upon "IF WE BELIEVE ON HIM we SHALL BE justified" - Rom. 4:24

5. The "death of Christ" is merely presented as the basis WHEN IT WAS RECEIVED as the object of faith for justification!

SBM can flap his jaws all he likes, yell, scream, kick, name call and throw temper tantrum's but it does not change these grammatical facts one iota.

Yes, when the elect were enemies / unbelievers, they were reconciled / justified/ accepted in the beloved. So they could not have been while unbelievers condemned by God like these unbelievers were Jesus spoke of Jn 3:18

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

First, your admission that Romans 5:10 and reconciliation did not occur before the world began but while they "were enemies"! Your admission that justification did not occur before the world began or at the cross but while they "were enemies" destroys your previous use of Romans 5:10.

Second, Being "enemies" (Rom. 5:10) and "condemned already" (Jn. 3:18)and "believeth not" (Jn. 3:36) "ungodly" (Romans 4:5) are all descriptive of the one and the same condition - lost condition. It is while in that condition they "RECEIVED THE ATONEMENT" (Rom. 5:11) and "believeth" (Jn. 3:36; Rom. 4:5) and were "justified by faith" (Rom. 5:1). And thus the condemned became justified by faith; "being now reconciled" by faith, children of God by faith INSTEAD of being reconciled, justified BEFORE they were enemies BEFOPE they were born into this world.
