The Wise Men

    In Matthew 2 we read of the wise men from the East. Some versions say "Astrologers". Given that, as Christians, we would be opposed to astrology would do we say to unsaved people involved in these practices if they point to Matthew 2 for justification?

    the bible disapproves of astrology, matt 2 only says who the men were, it does not approve of their pratice. if they point to matt2 then maybe they show other scriptural referneces to support their beleifs, and you need to show how to take matt 2 in context with the rest of scripture. you can not take just one part of scriputre to prove something, it must be in harmony with the rest of scripture.

    I would contend that those version which have 'astrologers' rather than 'astronomers' are in error.
