What was Adam lusting for?

Adam wasn't lusting over anything, but God saw it wasn't good for him to be alone, so he made him a help mate....not a slave, but a help mate. I know a lot of people who think their wives have to bow down to their "authority", have to do anything and everything they tell her to do, etc. But, when they are united in "Holy matrimony", they are one flesh in His sight. One isn't higher, or lower, than the other. They are one flesh in God's eyes.

Does this not say the sin of Adam was born from his own lust?

She helps him figure out what to do, since he can't do it on his own.

She never coerced Adam to partake of it, he willingly ate of it. As far as I can tell in the Genesis account, she just reached it to him and he ate. No coercion, no twisting of his arm, no begging and pleading, she gave it to him, and he ate.
If Adam was still sinless, then he didn't lust. Made in the image of God he had no sin. He had a choice to make. To chose to listen to God's instructions or to listen to satan's via Eve.
Jesus had the same choice in the wilderness when satan tempted Him. Jesus was without sin and He chose to remain so. Adam, didn't.

Being married myself I have to admit that I lust after my wife. I have for 50 years and still do. After all lust is a matter of desire or, want.
I believe Adam knew better than to touch the tree but since his wife already had he knew in his heart that she would die because God said so. Adam ate the fruit because he would rather be dead than to be with out her. His sin was greater than Eves because he also loved Eve more than his creator. This is only what I think and it does not make it so. Having life for an eternity is a great thing but, alone it would be misery.

Because of your name, "Oldtimer," you have probably known quite a few people. read about a lot of people, heard about a lot of people, have you known, read about, or heard about just one other person other than Jesus who has freely chosen not to sin?
Maybe free will is sin nature?

If you put lust outside eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, then you have placed sin outside of it too, no?
