No joke.
Romans 10:17-18, ". . . So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. . . ."
Psalms 19:4, ". . .Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. . . ."
Only 98% of the manuscripts of Romans has "of God." This over against the 100% readings of the common text which identifies a text as Romans. 2% of manuscripts of Romans has "of Christ." Both cannot be correct. If the lesser reading "of Christ" is taken over the more common reading "of God" then the mere fact that the New Testament documents have more copies by which to use to verify the original readings . . . .

Jesus IS God. You need to study this.

To help some to understand better.
Jesus is the Christ and Christ is God too. So is Jesus in God or is God in Jesus? John 1:14, John 14:6. Which came first, the words of Psalms 19:4 or the event of Luke 2:11?

If you learn the doctrine of the trinity in the ecumenical creeds it solves the mystery. When they were baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ, it meant Jesus Christ is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Are you a Jehovah's Witness or a member of some other cult?
You have misunderstood. It is a textual variant. " word of God" verse "word of Christ".

It appears that the Greek manuscript tradition mostly, or maybe even overwhelmingly in favor of " word of God"

Do you know that Jesus IS the Word of God?

“And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.” Revelation 19:13 (KJV 1900)

At issue is one textual variant is actually the word of God and the other is the word of men.

The 2013 JW Bible has for Romans 10:17, "So faith follows the thing heard. In turn, what is heard is through the word about Christ."

Thanks!

Do you know that Jesus is "The Word",

IN the beginnynge was the worde & the worde was with God: & the worde was God. The same was in the beginnynge with God.

The Newe Testament dylygently corrected and compared with the Greke by Willyam Tindale, and fynesshed in the yere of our Lorde God A.M.D. & xxxiiij. in the moneth of Nouember.

Which textual variant is correct?
The reading which best follows the 100% readings of the texts of the book of Romans. ". . . of God." The 98% reading.

With John 8:47 in mind and the JW Bible usage.
