    I was reading tonight in Isaiah and noticed in chapters 61 and 63 the reference to the year of the Lord's favor/redemption.
    and

    What was that referring to?

    Luke 4.

    17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
    18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
    19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.-------

    Jesus stopped there mid sentence ,the remainder is when he comes again in judgement. And to set up MK.

    -----and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

    ************
    Isaiah 63:4 For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redemption has come

    Christ takes vengeance on all his enemies at Armageddon, and delivers the remnant of Israel.

    14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
    15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
    16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

    look more deeply tho. We hear taught a full doctrine on it. And truly from the text, we know not much.
