Go here and test your theological bent:

    http://quizfarm.com/test.php?q_id=44116

    My scores:

    Anselm
    100%

    Jonathan Edwards
    100%

    Martin Luther
    87%

    Karl Barth
    67%

    John Calvin
    67%

    Friedrich Schleiermacher
    40%

    Augustine
    40%

    Paul Tillich
    33%

    Charles Finney
    27%

    Jürgen Moltmann
    20%

BTW, I retook this test later, and the only answer I changed was to agree that when Christ said His blood was spilled for many, He meant all, and that time I scored as 100% John Calvin. Interesting.

This so-called "quiz" is another one of those that changes the questions from one time to another. Folks, don't get caught up in this garbage. That's my opinion. I refuse to play on a "rigged" field where the rules change from moment to moment. I don't particular care what your so-called "theological persuasion" is, either. The test is a farce!

    Wanna' see if I'm right?

Call up the test twice, keep it on the screen, and compare "side-by-side".

I did! (And I have also done so before with similar!)

Well, I scored high on Anselm, Schleiermacher, and Moltmann but this quiz is crazy. Everyone is scoring high on Anselm because the only questions pertaining to him are on his view of the atonement, which is nearly normative for Protestants today. His other views would probably not be as palatable. Augustine is given the opposite treatment since his view of baptism is certainly at odds with Baptists but other aspects of his theology wouldn't be (especially if they cover both early and later thoughts)

The other questions can be misunderstood if one does not recognize the theologian and his system. For instance, Tillichs notion of God not existing is for him a complement because he believed that God is beyond "existence." When Moltmann speaks of eschatology he has much more in mind beyond things to come. Barth's criticism of liberal theology has particular 19th century figures in mind. I could go on, but it was fun for me too.

I was a little surprised by Schleiermacher's high score, but he's got something to offer everyone. His "feeling" (the translation is tough here) of absolute dependence is insightful and reflective of something in the tradition, but he does try to accomplish way too much with it.

As to the questions changing, my guess is they're just other quotes or themes from the same theologians but depending on the content I'm sure it would alter your score.

    thanks for the link,
    BJ

I did; it seems the questions are in a different order, but I didn't notice any ones that were different. I had a slightly different result the second time (a bit more Barthian), but I chalk that down to answering some questions "slightly disagree" instead of "slightly agree" (or vice versa) on some questions.

One tricky question was whether "Christ descended into hell between Gethsemane and his resurrection," which, given the phrasing of the question, counted into the affinity for Calvin.
