Thinking While Having Blood Pressure Taken

    This is a true story.

    I was having coffee with several friends. One, Marie, turned 100 last month. Another lady at the table said, "I have to have my blood pressure taken today. I go to the clinic every Monday and Friday to have it taken."

    Marie joined in saying, "One time when I was having my blood pressure taken I told the nurse my pressure always rises when a doctor or nurse takes it."

    "Think about something pleasant," the nurse suggested. "So I did."

    The nurse noticed I was smiling and wanted to ask, "What are you thinking about?"

    Laughing Marie, "I'm thinking about having sex with my husband."

    Marie's husband has been dead about ten years.
