Third Heaven? What are the First and Second Heavens?

2 Cor 12:2-4

2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth)

4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

What are the first and second heavens?

I have always considered the 1st heaven to be the Earth's atmosphere.
2nd Heaven is space
3rd Heaven is beyond the universe, where the throne is.

I do believe this is what the ancient peoples believed, I think I read that somewhere before.

What are the first and second heavens?

First heaven - Genesis 1 - the place where birds fly (the midsts of the heavens)

Second heaven - the place where stars - solar systems - galaxies exist.

3rd heaven - the physical location IN the universe (the place) where God's throne is in the universe - paradise according to Revelation.
