We actually had something like this happen in church about 3 months ago. Our pastor likes to set his cell phone on his podium while he preaches.

As he was preaching, the cell phone of a friend of mine started ringing, which visably upset the pastor. My friend immediately got up and left the main hall, went out in the entrance and answered the phone.

We could then all hear my friend saying "Hello, Hello" through our pastor's microphone.

As my friend came in, our pastor stopped and asked why my friend called him while he was preaching. He said, "I didn't call you, you called me! I was just answering your call!"

Our pastor must have accidently touched a speed dial on his phone. He was the one who called my friend in the congregation.

Once everybody realized what had happened, we all got a big laugh out of it.

One time, a friend of mine was preaching, and his cell phone started ringing. He answered and hung up w/o saying a word. I always have mine off during service.
