This State Just Voted to Ignore ALL Obama’s Executive Orders

Barack Obama is not afraid to wield executive power to accomplish his agenda. Whether he is ordering immigration officials to ignore deportation laws or mandating certain crimes not be prosecuted, Obama loves to run America by his own rules.

But one state just came up with a surprising plan to stop Obama’s end-run around democracy. This state’s move could prove to be first among many states rejecting Obama’s overreaching.
This week, Arizona passed two bills to stop Obama dead in his tracks.

The first bill, Arizona House Bill 2368, introduced by Rep. Bob Thorpe (R-Flagstaff), prevents the state of Arizona from funding any executive orders issued by President Obama, or policy directives issued by the Department of Justice.

The Arizona State Legislature website described the bill as prohibiting “this state or any of its political subdivisions from using any personnel or financial resources to enforce, administer or cooperate with an executive order issued by the President of the U.S. that has not been affirmed by a vote of Congress and signed into law as prescribed by the U.S. Constitution.”

I thought we were a nation of law. It seems as if many radical conservatives prefer anarchy. When the states don't accept federal laws and regulations we cease to be a functional democracy. I believe we will have a revolution in America and it will be the haves versus the have nots. BTW to be a member of the haves you need to have a net worth of over $1B.

Nope. I just don't show up very often because I think most of what's said here is garbage.

See folks this post is an example of a low information voter. They have no knowledge of how the laws are to be made according to the constitution and they do not understand the Obama is not a King. He does not get to just snap his finger, whip out his pen and sign an executive order and think everyone is going to jump. What Arizona is doing is perfectly legal. It in no way resembles anarchy. These are the knuckleheads who are voting for guys like Obama.

I realize I am not being nice but it seems like people are taking the stupid pill and showing up here lately.

The truth is painful to those who substitute feelings for thought. FTW seems to be one of those types.

I discovered the little brown dumb-box icon. (Far right of the row.) A good idea.

Where do they all come from? The DNC must have a machine that cranks them out non stop 24/7.

Now that I think about it for a minute there's actually three machines, public schools, universities. and the corporate media.

Where was the outcry when Reagan, Bush 1, and Bush 2 ALL created more executive orders per a year than Obama has?

I wasn't on BB until the George W. Bush unitary presidency began but after that I was here getting beat up on a regular basis for telling all the newly converted neo-cons that consolidating that much power in the executive branch and doubling the size and scope of government was a dangerous idea.

Not even the idea that all that newly acquired power could someday be inherited by a democrat administration would dissuade them so determined were they to give "their president" all the authority he demanded even if it meant trashing the constitution and doubling the size of government to do it.

I guess you could say 9/11 and all the subsequent government and media fear mongering scared the "limited government conservative" right out of them.

And now here they are complaining that Obama is using the authority they willingly handed over to the executive branch. Don't get me wrong, they have legitimate reasons to complain about Obama it's just that they had legitimate reasons to complain about Bush but they chose to defend his power grabs instead. Not all mind you but enough that I would classify it as the majority.

I can't count how many times I was called a liberal/pacifist America hater that was putting the country in danger or worse back in those days.

Go figure.

From a neo-con standpoint the best thing Obama has done for their "cause" is to silence the anti war crowd. I still can't believe we have a unitary presidency that claims the authority to execute American citizens without due process and no one is seriously questioning it.

This is an example of a very intelligent voter who understands far more than you ever will "Rev."
