God made them, but they were not given to man for smoking and getting high.
What did He make them for? (I'm not a pot smoker BTW)Just wondering.

The marijuana plant (hemp) has many uses. For one, it can be used to make rope.
If God made it, He gave every kind of plant for man, does that exclude eating it?

Do you eat thorns and thistles? Does God give every plant to man to eat? Different plants have different purposes. What He did do is command man to have dominion over all the earth. Thus it is man's responsibility to take care of the earth, not to abuse it.

Ok. It's not a thorn or a thistle. Can you support that conclusion? Not to eat it I mean. If you have dominion over something, it is yours to use as you wish. You control it.

We must remember, JerryL, the marijuana plant, peyote, poppy, or any other plant used for drugs today would not have had the same effects when it was created as it has had after the fall of man. When man sinned, God cursed the ground because of that sin. I believe the plants that are known as drugs today would not have caused the effects they now do prior to the fall.

He cursed the ground...not the plants.

Can you support that, or is that opinion?

I'm just asking if you can support your opinion. Like, can you support your opinion of the yeast on grapes not God's doing before the fall.

Easy. Before the fall, God looked and saw that every thing He created was 'very good' (Genesis 1:31).

Yeast turns grape juice into the very drink that God warns us to abstain from making it bad and not 'very good' as it was before the fall. The yeast, if it was in existence prior to the fall, had different properties that brought about results other than alcohol.

Plants, again. the drugs you mentioned cloud up the mind and pervert judgment. Something God warns against. The change had to have been as a result of the fall of man since according to Genesis 1:29 God gave the herb for man to eat. God would not have endorsed man to eat of that which clouds man's mind.

Where did He reverse this Scripture after the fall. As you state in other places, "God said it that makes it true". Where did He take that verse back and make the plants you mentioned bad? He said it is food for us. Is it food for us or not?

Gen 1:29 Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;

So, adam and Eve could have eaten 4 gallons of fruit at each meal before the fall without any ill effects?

I have a question for you, SFIC.
Is this whole thread just an opinion or do you believe this as indisputable fact?
