And before the coming of the faith, under law we were being kept, shut up to the faith about to be revealed, so that the law became our child-conductor -- to Christ, that by faith we may be declared righteous, and the faith having come, no more under a child-conductor are we, Gal 3:23-25 YLT

There we have, the faith, that was on it's way and or unrevealed and, the faith, that had arrived and and or was revealed and by it, the faith (revealed) we mat be declared righteous. -- that by faith we may be declared righteous

the faith??? Rom 19:14-16 the rhetorical questions followed with

Romans 10:17 Consequently, the faith, out of hearing, the yet hearing, through declaration of God (about Christ).

What is declared by God about Christ, heard, that is/reveals, the faith, by which we may be declared righteous?

for as through the disobedience of the one man, the many were constituted sinners: so also through the obedience of the one, shall the many be constituted righteous. Romans 5:19

How is obedience related to, the faith?

From Romans 10:19
obedience g5218 - ὑπακοῆς --- From ὑπακούω (G5219) --- From ὑπό (G5259) and ἀκούω (G191)
G5259 under and G191 hearing

In my humble opinion, the faith, that came, by which we can be made righteous, is the obedience of Christ unto death, even the death of the cross.

IMHO that is the same, the faith, we heard, through which we received the promise of the Spirit. Gal 3:2, 3:14

Greetings,

Here is what I believe:
That we are justified and filled with the Faith of Christ.....towards God, which is the gift granted to us.

Gal_2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Gal_2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Eph_2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant. (2Co_ 3:4-6)

“such trust through Christ”, that this ‘trust’ and ‘Faith’ is all through Christ, since we be hid in Christ Jesus, then all His Faith and Trust in God, will become ours, or is ours more and more as we grow in Grace to Grace." CT

This was wonderful.....thank you.....
The Lord bless you....

The, thought, of my OP though is, the faith, is of Jesus the Christ, really has nothing to do with what comes from us.

IMHO the faith of Abraham was what he was told. He was called of God out of idolatry, to believe, "in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed".

Because of God having told him that and because he was called to believe, when God told him to sacrifice Isaac he did so because of being a believer he saw the resurrection of Christ, thinking if God told me to sacrifice him he must going to raised him from the dead, being in my seed all the nations of the earth are to be blessed.

The potter and the clay?

IMHO we are, of the faith of Abraham.

know ye, then, that those (out) of faith -- these are sons of Abraham,
and if ye are of Christ then of Abraham ye are seed, and according to promise -- heirs.
Gal 3:7,29

relative to the reference on post #3 a paragraph from it.

I think there is a clear agenda though. Which [agenda] is that the concept of being saved ‘through faith’ fits more easily into the notion that personally accepting Jesus as the Savior is the extent of faith’s purpose. Sola Fide is a fictitious heresy (see James 2:24). Proponents of ‘faith alone’ like to think that Faith is the instrumental cause of salvation. But why is it then that Scripture states that the Faith is not of yourselves, we are saved through the laver of regeneration (Titus 3:5), and that the Faith is God's operation? Regeneration throws a wrench in the machination of reformed theology, because it contradicts their formal and instrumental causes of justification.

Here is what is wrong with the paragraph.

Faith alone there should be, the faith, of Christ relative to my concept of, the faith, above not what comes from us. Consider:

Romans 4:25 YLT who was delivered up <obedience of faith, died see Heb 5:7,9 Phil 2:8) because of our offences, and was raised up <made alive see 1 Peter 3:18, regenerated, raised from the dead) because of our being declared righteous.

1 Cor 15:17 YLT and if Christ hath not risen< made alive 1 Peter 2:18 regenerated Col 1:18), vain is your faith <obedience unto death Phil 2:8 Heb 5:7,8), ye are yet in your sins;

In other words, the faith, never came and

it takes the regeneration of Christ in order for our sins to be washed away in his blood.

Consider: and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first-born (regenerated, thou art my Son this day have I begotten you) out of the dead (obedience of faith), and the ruler of the kings of the earth; to him who did love us, and did bathe us from our sins in his blood, Rev 1:5

Can regeneration be seen in that verse?

It is, the faith of Christ and the regeneration of Christ by/through which we are saved.

Greetings,

Here is an excellent example,Lazarus death, that it is Jesus Christ which raises us up from Spiritual death while bound with "graveclothes" head to toe.

Joh 11:39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
Joh 11:40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
Joh 11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
Joh 11:42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
Joh 11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
Joh 11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

This is conjunction to the above:
Joh 5:21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
Joh 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

I thought these scriptures connected with "removing the Stone" because HE gives us a heart of flesh after He removes the Heart of Stone"

Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Now regarding the graveclothes: When dead in our trespasses and sins, do we not stink? And the graveclothes which need to be removed so he is set free, could these scriptures be relevant?

Job 36:8 And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction;
Job 36:9 Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.
Job 36:10 He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.
Job 36:11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

Isa 1:6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

Isa_61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Are we not bound to our flesh, and through Christ and His Word and through the Apostles, does their teachings not teach us how to Depend upon Christ, to deal with ALL of our idols, and fleshly works of our hearts?

What do you think?
Lord bless you......
