Thread Derailers

I'm not sure if this is the place for this thread. But there seems to be a lot of folks on here in multiple forums who are allowed to go from thread to thread and derail the thread by attacking a poster and not dealing with what the thread says. And the attacks seem to originate with their feelings toward posters who disagree with their politics.

So why are the same group of folks allowed to make snide comments about specific people who disagree with them on a thread, yet nothing ever seems to be done? Why are the same group of people allowed to harass and be rude in their comments while constantly addressing the poster instead of what the poster says?

Well, the answer depends on whether you are a Calvanist or not.

Zaac- If you're going to troll, don't be suprised if you catch something.:tonofbricks:

Another perfect example. And the same folks are allowed to go from thread to thread doing the same thing, and I'd like to know from the Moderators why this is?

I wasn't derailing the thread. You asked about people who derailed threads. I was pointing out the irony of you, a person who constantly does what you are asking about, starting a thread complaining about it.

All this begs the question...can you derail a thread that is itself a derailment?

Zaac, when your first reply in a thread started by someone else reads like this, the question to be asked is who started derailing the thread in the first place.

The beginning and ending of your post, didn't address the topic of conversation. Thus, derailing the thread, IMO.

Like this board , the polls appear to be very wrong. But I guess we will see in 13 days.

I think the early voting is going to surprise the Romney camp. And from what I've seen of those supposed numbers , things may not be as close as we're being led to believe.

Funny cause before the polls flipped, the majority on this board was saying that the polls didn't mean anything. But political expediency seems to cause all sorts of back peddling and compromise on this board.

Precisely what I was going to post but I guess one of my fellow clique members beat me to it!

That's derailing as the thread ISN'T about ME. SO once again , deal with the topic and not what you think of me.

Yep as your begged question has nothing to do with the OP.

So is this thread about people derailing, or is it about other people derailing?

Why?

Because in my opinion the majority on the board, including the moderators, have come to the belief that you are an insincere self righteous troll who came to this board announcing that you were sure that this board would be like all the other boards that you have posted on which called you a troll and accused you of being constantly off topic.

Please note that my response is 100% on topic and does provides a direct answer to your question with out talking about you - since it is talking about the beliefs of others about you.

Zaac, have you met this pot over here?

Zaac, perhaps you aren't aware that you do the very thing you are complaining about. You probably don't want to hear this but you DO go from thread to thread and attack posters (either individually or by saying "y'all".) You do attack people who disagree about your views on Romney. You do make snide comments about other posters.

Why isn't anything done about it? I can only guess that the moderators feel that we are self-policing. Somebody posts an attack, another counter-attacks. Unless it gets really nasty I just figure they let it go.

I am guilty of making snide comments but I like to think it's in retaliation or self-defense. At least I think I do. Forgive me if it's not.

I think its President Obama's fault these threads keeping getting derailed. If we could just do something about it...

Everyone knows Obama inherited the derailing of threads from Bush. However, that itself is really a front. It's actually the fault of a global conglomerate of international bankers and aliens.
