...take a moment to read this and pray for those in Newtown, CT...While I don't mean to put a damper on your holidays, let''s not forget the families of those killed at Sandy Hook elementary school. Remember: they are facing the festivities of this holiday season with an extremely heavy heart, and if we'd all take brief prayer breaks [we are reminded by Paul not to cease in prayers for others] throughout this evening and all day tomorrow to utter a prayer of peace, comfort and support; we may be giving them the most wonderful present we can give from wherever we pray! THANKS! :praying:

And, prayer for so many others who have sadness in their hearts, this Christmas morning.

An extended family member lost his brother 2 days ago.

Many years ago, my mother's funeral was on Christmas eve.

For those in Newtown and others, the pain is fresh. For others God has eased their grief as time has passed, but the sorrow never fully goes away. Each Christmas brings back memories of both joy and sadness.

:praying: for those in Sandy Hook

:praying: for A's immediate family

:praying: for the many others who are also in grief

:praying: giving thanks that He does extend a healing hand. Giving thanks for what He suffered to provide comfort and assurance during difficult times.
