My condolences to his family. I enjoyed the Left Behind series even if it wasn't Biblically accurate. It was still cool to read.

Tim LaHaye, the best-selling author best known for the Left Behind series, “graduated to heaven” early this morning after suffering a stroke at age 90.

His family announced the news of his passing at a San Diego hospital on his ministry Facebook page.

"Timothy LaHaye was born in Detroit on April 27, 1926, one of three children of Frank and Margaret Palmer LaHaye. His father, a Ford autoworker, died when Timothy was 9, and his mother went to work at Ford. He attended public schools and began preaching while working at a summer camp. He joined the Army Air Force in 1944 and was a machine-gunner on bombers in Europe. In 1947, while attending Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C., he married a fellow student, Beverly Ratcliffe."

"After earning a bachelor’s degree at Bob Jones in 1950, he received a doctorate at Western Seminary in Portland, Ore. He served a congregation in Minneapolis until 1956, then moved to San Diego and for 25 years was pastor of the Scott Memorial Baptist Church in El Cajon, Calif. Brother, we have not had a conflict of interest since you came on board, however, there are other places to make your theological views known. This does not seem like the place to argue your beliefs. I felt this was classless. Shalom.

Personally, I hold to pan-theology.. All things will 'pan' out in the end, and when we get to heaven I honestly believe ALL of us will all be as surprised about our dogmas as we are about being in heaven regardless of our errors in teaching and beliefs. The only theology I hold dearly to is the fact that jesus is whom He said He was; that He died and rose again for my sins; and that ONE AY OR THE OTHER He is coming back for me, as an individual or collectively in the the great "Airlift" or as I call it, the first flight out of here!

Minor nitpick: The word I've seen used is "immanent", meaning, could happen at any time. (Which I see as biblical.) To me, "imminent" means, will happen soon. (Which may or may not be accurate.)

I've been blessed by Brother LaHaye's ministries, though I'll admit to losing interest in "Left Behind" about 2/3 of the way through the series - seemed like less of him and more of the co-author.

Nope, my usage is correct. Doing a quick google search on the words I cam up with:

• immanent: 1. existing, operating, or remaining within; inherent. 2. of or relating to the pantheistic conception of God, as being present throughout the universe Compare transcendent (sense 3) immanence, immanency, noun
• imminent:
  1. about to happen.
  "they were in imminent danger of being swept away"
  synonyms: impending, close (at hand), near, (fast) approaching, coming, forthcoming, on the way, in the offing, in the pipeline, on the horizon, in the air, just around the corner, coming down the pike, expected, anticipated, brewing, looming, threatening, menacing;
  informal in the cards
  "a ceasefire was imminent"

Imminent means "Can happen at any time. About to happen."

Immanent means "existing or operating within; inherent."

I stand corrected on "immanent." Thanks.
The above defines "imminent" in what I consider to be two different ways. (Lots of words have multiple meanings, of course.) I would consider the first to be the correct application for Christ's return, while the second could be true but is beyond our knowing, as "about to happen" seems to connote a short interval of time. "No man knows the day or the hour..."
