Time for shorts?

This Floridian doesn't think shorts are acceptable in a church service. Other than that, I wear them whenever the weather permits (which is most of the time).

I will wear shorts when it's no longer comfortable out to wear pants - when it gets hot. I only wear shorts to church when it's not church time - like when I'm working on stuff for the service. I'm usually there on Friday morning and everyone is casual then.

I don't wear shorts to Sunday services either, but some do -- usually children or teens during the summer. But then again, we are only 1/2 mile (if that) from Biscayne Bay.

Around here summer comes the third Tuesday in August. I wear my shorts then. It was 45 and windy today. Not good shorts weather.

I don't wear them to church (except when I was teaching the youth on Wednesday nights), or when I don't have any close to clean , or when my wife gets on to me for wearing them out in the winter. Otherwise that's what I wear.

If you don't like my legs then quit staring at them.

I don't wear shorts to church either except for work day or maybe a VERY casual friday.

I answered for me but I didn't answer for my husband. He has severe eczema and the BEST thing for him is to wear shorts to help keep his skin clear. So as soon as he can, he's in shorts. He wore shorts this weekend when it hit 75 degrees but today is 50 so no shorts. The ohter staff at church say they know summer is really here when DH doesn't wear pants anymore. LOL Of course he'll wear pants to church for services but otherwise he's forever in shorts.

Unless one looks really good in shorts, or one is doing yardwork or something outdoorsy in hot weather, I do not think anyone over 30 or so should wear them. Most people look horrendous in shorts.

I think skirts (for women) are much more comfortable when it's hot anyway.

I went to college in Florida and we were not allowed to wear shorts to class -- ever!

Good...because I consider walking to my car from the house "outdoorsy". When it's 110 (with the heat index), stepping foot outside the house is "outdoorsy" .

I wear shorts only in the summer. Which for me is the months of December-March.
I only wear shorts when around the house, especially if I am working outside. Or I wear them if I am playing sports, including golf, and in that case they are golfing shorts. Mine even have a special pocket for the score card.
