Why in the world s our media, the Pope and government officials trying to keep the muslims warm and fuzzy? Even as corrupt as the pope is, what did he say wrong that he needs to apologize for? They are even suggesting that George Bush make nice nice with the muslims.

    Why???

I think we need to speak out against this wicked religion. There may be some nice people that are muslims' but nice or not, they belong to a religion of hatred and intolerance. ( sounds like catholicisim in the dark ages) The bottom line is that if your not a muslim, you should be killed.

I think the LAST thing we should do is to placate them. We are in a holy war. If anything, we should send them packing back to their land of hate. We are in a fight for our survival.

Our enemy is not an individual country. It is a religion and we need to treat it as an enemy to freedom. Their god is not the same God we serve. Their aim is to destroy our way of life. The LAST thing I would ever want my president to do is apologize.

I am not against peaceful good people. I am against this evil religion.

He originally didn't say anything wrong, and even the Muslims don't accept what he said as a sincere apology. He can't make a sincere apology and no pope in history ever has. The pope speaks "ex cathedra," in the place of God. His words are infallible, as if they are the very words of God. How can he apologize for speaking forth the infalliblie words of God? He cannot. That is why no pope has ever apologized. Their words are infallible. They may try some diplomacy, some tactfulness, some mending of fences, but when push comes to shove they cannot make any sincere apology for the words that were said.

That being said, the pope is an unsaved man. He is not a true Christian, nor does he represent Christianity as many people are deceived into thinking that he does. Even if he did apologize so what! The pope is an important figure. Almost every political figure of every stipe--from President Bush to Yaser Arafat has visited the Pope to seek his blessing.

The Muslims are more than one billion in number and growing faster than any religion on earth. As you referred to a holy war, you referred to it wrongly. We are not in a holy war. We are not in a medieval Crusade. God forbid.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
    4. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
    5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

We are not on a Crusade. Are warfare is spiritual. We do not have carnal weapons but spiritual weapons.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Are war is aganst the the principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, not the physical rulers themselves.
--Take on the whole armour God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, not the wiles of Islam.
Not all Muslims think this way. Do you think this way? Is this the Christian way of doing things? That is the more important question to ask. How may win these people to Christ. How are we able to be the light of the world, and the salt of the earth. Salt is used, not only for flavor, but also to preserve. Are you able to preserve the goodness that is in this world and retard the evil (of Islam) by your efforts of the propagation of the gospel among the Muslims?
"We need to speak out against the Muslims"
Certainly. In our own churches, we need to speak out against all sin--the ecumenism of Billy Graham, the error of the Charismatic movement, modesty, the error of all cults and false religions, moral sins, societal sins, etc. Why just pick on Islam? There is much in the Bible to preach against? Don't ride a hobby horse. Paul said: "I have preached unto you the whole counsel of God."
Which group of Bible-believing Christians do you know of is placating the Muslims. I don['t know of any. The Pope isn't a Bible-believing Christianity. Franklin Graham, as ecumenical as he may be, had some harsh words for Islam. So have many other evangelical Christians. They just are not as well known as the public. But they are not willing to retract their words either.
Your president is not your problem; you are. What are you going to do about Islam? I know what I did, and continue to do. I am a missionary to third world mations, one of which is an Islamic nation. In spite of what could be considered a death sentence on my life a still take the opportunities offered to me and witness to them. Does it matter to me what the President or the Prime Minister (in my case) think? No of course not. The obligation of the Great Commission was put squarely on my shoulders as it is yours. Now what are you going to about it? You have a personal responsibility to those people that are lost and locked and in the clutches of Islam. Only the gospel can free them from that slavery. The gospel will set them free, and then they can be free indeed. You have that opportunity, even to witness to the ones in your nation. Islam is the fastest growing nation in America. There are plenty of them to witness to.

Then do something about it. What would Christ do?

Quoted by DHK: He originally didn't say anything wrong, and even the Muslims don't accept what he said as a sincere apology.End Quote

I didn't think he said anything wrong either. He did say he was sorry if he offended them, so he did apologize. I understand the pope is unsaved. It should be an embarrasment to him that he would lower himself to apologize to them for his harsh words. What about the thousands they killed and the untold thousands they are trying to kill now?

Quote: The Muslims are more than one billion in number and growing faster than any religion on earth. As you referred to a holy war, you referred to it wrongly. We are not in a holy war. We are not in a medieval Crusade. God forbid. End quote

I think it is a holy war. You don't have to be in a medieval Crusade to have two opposite theologies battle it out. We are in a physical war. It is driven spiritually but is manifested on the physical plane. The god of this world is running out of time and he knows it. He is marshalling all of his forces in an all out attack on christianity.

Quote: We are not on a Crusade. Are warfare is spiritual. We do not have carnal weapons but spiritual weapons. End quote

We don't have carnal weapons? What was used against us on 9/11 sure seemed carnal to me! Once again, this is a spiritual battle being fought on the physical plane. That is why people die. Satan hates man. He deceived as you said over a billion. His aim is to kill and send as many to hell as he can. He will use the physical as well as the physical plane. Oh yes! We are definately in a holy war.

Quote: Are war is aganst the the principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, not the physical rulers themselves.End quote

Really? Who is Bin Laden? Who is Sadam Hussein? You are right about it being spiritual. But as God uses men to accomplish His purpose, so does Satan.

Quote: Not all Muslims think this way. Do you think this way? Is this the Christian way of doing things? End quote

I know they don't all think that way. Get back to your spiritual argument for a minute. Forget what the people believe. The religion is one of hatred and intolerance. It teaches that the infidels (us) should be killed! This is what I said: I think we need to speak out against this wicked religion. There may be some nice people that are muslims' but nice or not, they belong to a religion of hatred and intolerance.

We do need to speak out against the religion don't we? Good or bad people they belong to something hateful. I am not talking about hating people. I hate false doctrine. I hate false teachings that manipulate otherwise good people and turn them into murderersand hate mongers. That is what I hate DHK. Not the people.

Quote: Certainly. Paul said: "I have preached unto you the whole counsel of God." End quote

You are absoloutly right. We should speak against all those other things. Why Islam? They are trying to kill us! It's not a hobby horse. It is spreading the word.

Quote: Which group of Bible-believing Christians do you know of is placating the Muslims. End quote

I don't know of real christians doing that either.

Just so you know. I give the gospel to early all I meet. I would be more than happy to witness to muslims. But I also hate the religion that teaches others to hate us just because we love Jesus.

We tip-toe around anyone willing to strap a bomb to himself and walk into the crowd. If the Pope offends, many of Catholic's all over the world will pay. If America offends, many of American's will be subjected to the ultimate price. Their Power is our fear and they know it very well.

The koran teaches that anyone not a believer in allah and muhammad is to be killed. They may not admit it, but if they believe in their religion then they do think this way.

    The terrorists are winning.
They are succeeding in making us afraid.

Gotta be nice to the big bully kid, or he might give you a black eye, or bloody nose, or blow you up!

Since the pope is the "vicar" (substitute) of Christ  ...is it found anywhere in Scripture where Christ apologized to the Pharisees or anyone for preaching the truth?

Control and motivation, fear motivates and controls men beyond any form of reason. The mugger uses a gun so to give fear. Fear of the unknown separates the week and wiery from the true believers. And terrorism uses fear.

Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Now if we can convince God's people that the worst terrorist can do to you is the best thing that can happen to you; let me re-word that, death is the vehicle which transports us to the presence of God.

"I am sorry IF I offended." is not an apology. He did offend and did not apologize. His statement was conditional. In his mind he did not offend he only spoke the truth. An apology would have been "I am sorry for offending you." He didn't say that.
It is not a physical war as far as you are concerned (or shouldn't be) and God forbid if you should use carnal weapons.
    1. Do you take up guns and shoot down doctors when they perform abortions? That is the use of carnal weapons instead of spiritual.
I trust that you pray and perhaps pressure your government to change the laws on abortion instead of starting an actual war against your government.

    2. What was your reaction when the Bible was banned from the schools?
Did you start shooting down school teachers and principles? Did you start a holy war? Did you take up carnal weapons? Hopefully it was spiritual warfare that you put on--the armour of God.

    3. And so it is with Islam. You, as an individulal, have no right to carry a gun and go shooting down Muslims every time you see one. You have no right to form a "Militia Against Muslims" organization. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. You will not defeat Osama ben Laden through a gun, but through prayer.

    4. What your government does is one thing; what you do is another. You are not the government. You do not live in a Christian nation. It is humanistic and secular. The war you fight as a Christian is far from a holy war on the physical plane. Far be it that one takes up arms for any cause to fight against a spiritual cause. This goes direccly against the Biblical teaching of the Scriptures.

Gotta agree with Truth. And if death is the vehicle that transports us to the precense of God Himself, shouldn't we be more concerned with doing His will while it is still day?

I totally disagree with you DHK. Read the OT and take a look how many spiritual battles were fought on the physical plane. We are being attacked and slaughtered. We know who is responsible ultimately and we know who is attacking us and why. One would have to be a fool not to support defending ourselves. That is all I am saying. The muslims want to exterminate us.

I believe in prayer as well as you do. God can and does call us to action sometimes as answer to prayer. To pray, sit back and do nothing is the unbiblical position. There are too many examples of God calling His people to arms to do His will.

By the way. You say I shouldn't use carnal weapons to fight this spiritual war? What am I supposed to do as someone trys to kill my daughter? Pray? I have a little surprise for any one that breaks into my house and trys to hurt my family. I believe God advocates our defending ourselves.

Your home is your property to protect. You cannot project that ideology into the world. It is unbiblical. Besides that, I can't picture Jesus saying: "I have a little surprise (gunfire) for anyone that breaks into my house." Some of the teens wear a bracelet with the letters engraved: WWJD. What about you? What Would Jesus Do? Or don't you believe in following Christ? God no longer commands an ethnic cleansing such as the Canaanites. The Israelites were a theocracy called by God. You are not. You belong to a godless, secular humanistic nation. And whatever you do in any physical way would simply be called revenge and murder.

No Sir, It would be called self defense. God also ordained the governments. I also elieve God has removed His hand of blessing in many ways from this country. But God is also for defending your country. I served 10 years proudly. I said I have a little surprise. Not Jesus!

Why don't you discuss this in the rhealm of God's nature instead of spouting off the nonsensicle babble of your own opinion. Read the BIBLE!

    Yes God ordains governments.
He ordained the governments of Hitler, of Stalin, and of Nero at the very time when Paul wrote Romans 13, the passage that you are referring to. Nero persecuted Paul, and the Christians of his time to the death. He used some of them as human torches in his garden. Others he threw to the lions, burned at the stake, and devised many other cruel tortures. Peter writes his first epistle to these suffering Christians. In the same epistle he admonishes them to obey and submit to the government however wicked it may be.
Yes, governments are ordained by God.
That doesn't give you a licence to go out and kill Muslims.

Who said anything about going out and killing anyone? I have been advocating self defense only. Our government has the obligation to go out and find those responsible to protect us. How dare you compare the United States government with that of Hitler. You are truly grasping at straws simply for the sake of arguing.

You are from Canada. That explains why you don't want to defend yourself. Your military is incapable at best. Besides you have our young pagan children protecting your behind. You aught to thank God for that!

When you have lost the war you smear your opponent. Is that the wartime tactic these days?
Go back and read through this discussion. My discussion with you has always been on a personal level with you. You have taken this off on a rabbit trail of governmental interference and/or obligation. That has nothing to do with this conversation. Look at the Scripture I quoted to you:

    2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. Have you got that yet. It is OUR warfare. That does not mean the government's warfare. It is speaking of your warfare, my warfare. It is on a personal basis. And on this basis we don't have a holy war that is a physical war. This is the topic at hand that we were discussing. We don't have the right to take up arms and go indiscrimately and kill Muslims. Who gave you that right. We are not speaking here of governments. We are speaking of personal responsibility. The wepons of our warfare are not carnal but spiritual. Vengeance is mine saith the Lord. Put up your sword the Lord said to Peter. What are you going to do if the Lord sends you as a missionary to a nation like Saudia Arabia, Indonesia, or Pakistan? Win them with guns to their heads? The weapons of our warfare are not carnal!

If only the Pope would have read Dave Hunt's book And a Woman Rides the Beast before he made the comments, he would have learned that the Catholic Church started Islam. He then would not have made the comments because he would not call his own Church evil.
