Do you like to go to the beach?

Which one do you usually go to?

Saggy, Saggy, Saggy... what to do with you? I have serious problems with "going to the beach."

    • First of all it excludes all the folks from New Jersey. They don't have beaches. They go to The Shore.
    • Secondly, it would have to be all those half-nekked folk. Them half-nekked and mostly-nekked folk really bother me a lot. They always seem to put out their little volleyball nets near all the good fishing spots.
    • Thirdly, it is environmentalist. Quite a few years ago I went to the shore without my fishing gear. A waste of a perfectly good trip to water but sometimes you have to do what you have to do to keep the family peace. Anyway, I hadn't been in a while and had to buy myself a pair of trunks before we left. All Walmart had in my size was a pair of black trunks with a white panel on the front. We get down to the shore and I pitch my stuff up close to the high tide mark. I wasn't there five minutes when I hear this long-haired feller yelling to this girl, "Like, dude, this is so wrong. We have to help." She stopped texting long enough to exclaim, "Ewww, do I have to touch it?" Next thing I know they are both pouring water on me and the long-haired feller was saying, "Like, don't worry Shamu, we'll get you back in the water...."
The beach, shore, call it what you want, but I ain't going.

I'm not a huge beach lover but I DO live on Long Island so we go. We have ocean beaches and beaches on the Long Island Sound. We have a private beach 2 blocks away too that we love to go to in the off season. It's GREAT to walk in the fall and winter. :)

We share a weekend place with my sister and her husband in Cape May, NJ, and a home with our whole family in Gulf Shores.

We also have friends in the Keys and will trade houses with them for a couple of weeks in the summer.

Also, I love going to Ocean City, Md.

I don't mind going to the beach. I don't particularly like to go lay out--I can lay out at home, and I don't like doing it there, either. I like playing in the water or walking along looking for shells etc, or just thinking. No particular beach. I have been to Oak Island several times in NC. And to Myrtle and Garden City. And corpus Christie

Love going to the beach. Favorite local beaches include SoBe, Hollywood and Key Biscayne.

I've only been to the salt-water beaches of Galveston and Gulfport.

I'm not sure that they qualify as real beaches.

The Mayan Riviera in Mexico in the winter and my vacation house on Lake Michigan just north of Harbor Springs in the summer.

Our mild spring now is ended. Our cool afternoons,
As I foretold you, are now spread over,
And are melted into summer; into hot summer.
And like the idle parting of this season,
The cloud-capped moisture, the gorgeous rainbows,
The solemn windstorm, the great ambiance itself,
Yea all which it conduces shall dissolve
And like this pending sweltry display withered,
Leave not a breeze behind. Summer is such stuff
As sweat collects on, and its yearly lease
    Begins with Memorial Day.
