Today at school . . .

Hey, did you see Sarah Palin this morning? She wouldn't tell either. She said she was claiming her right to privacy. She sounded pretty serious about the whole thing, so I think they must have asked her not about the Presidency, but about a Senate seat or something...didn't quite catch it...

 

Someone from a third world nation, on Facebook yesterday, asked me who I voted for. My answer was, "Sorry, that is between me and my God".

I don't think it's anyone else's business and it has nothing to do with being ashamed of who I voted for. I have never told anyone who I voted for in any election...accept the primaries, we still have to choose one ballot or the other in Illinois.

 

I teach two Bible classes at a local Christian school. Yesterday, in one of them, I was asked if I voted. I said that I did almost two weeks ago. Then they asked who I voted for. I told them I voted for the only pro-life candidate.

If I had to do it (vote) all over again, I would have done the same.

 

IN all seriousness... where did the tradition come from of not telling? I mean, we campaign all the way up to the polls... then secrecy afterwards....

Probably a part of it is the same as asking a woman her age; whatever the "shame" is of telling same.

Part of it is just plain being an introvert (me) and consider it no one else's business, not that it matters, but simply that it's private.

Part of it is probably to avoid retaliation if you didn't vote "politically correct"; just like the unions are trying to get their voting open. It's much easier to identify the "rebels" if you KNOW how they vote.

Not me baby…I haven’t bought into that tradition at all. As a student, I can proudly and confidently say that no other students in any of my classes should have any doubts as to how I voted. On top of this, my Atheist Psychology professor knows better than to project her Atheist agenda in my direct, or carry it too far toward the class. (Got to look out for the kids.) My Agnostic Philosophy professor discovered he can’t win a logical debate against me concerning his agenda to prove to the class that one can not know that God exists as a truth. My Communications Professor, who knows very little about God, listens intently and is allowing me to use the Gospel in class tomorrow as my public speech subject. My English Professor fully understood yesterday when I needed to leave class early to go vote, and said, “Although, I know you will be voting differently than I” with a smile. I manage to work in some theology in every ENG essay and she comments that she, “loves how I diplomatically voice my opinion”. ...I know what your thinking...is this the same Benjamin that posts on the BB... :laugh:

My beautiful daughter :love2:, in high school, coincidently has the same English college professor I had last year. When the subject arose, I had spoken of her to him on several occasions about her standing up for God and Chrsitian values in public school. He once replied he hadn’t seen any HS students that were so willing to share these values with their peers. Now, he knows the truth. My daughter and I had a laugh last night over him (a very well spoken man) stuttering and giggling to get out a message to me about the election. (That the vote has been delayed and is actually on Wednesday.)

Nope, if someone asks me how I voted they will not only get the answer but are highly likely to get some reasoning coming in behind it. But hopefully, they won’t have to ask in the first place.

What's it like on the Dark Side? Did it hurt crossing over? madre turned 50 in June. She's been as mean as a rattle snake with a sore fang ever since. Had I known, I would've saved all the money I spent on that little newspaper doodad announcing the glorious event...... :thumbs:

I voted. Come 20 Jan 2009 Obama will be my President. Right now G.W.Bush is my President. I paid $2.99.9 per gallon on Tuesday - election day. I'm still Saved. Jesus still saves.

I also found out that Oklahoma provides nine days each year of US Oil production; but only three days a year of US Oil use. In the past eight years Oklahoma has capped 8.000 oil wells and the well site cleaned up.

This Senate thing was all over the news today, the question is did she vote for a convicted felon to be Senator so she can eventually get his seat and get back on the National scene. I don't know why she would want to be Senator since Gov gives her executive experience but those be the rumors.

Don't know that the senate is the best road to the White House. Sen Obama was the first sitting senator to pull that off in 48 years.
