I wholly support animal experimenting. The gains far outweigh any personal feelings about the animal.

Chances are someone you love, or ever yourself, would have died long ago if not for animal experimenting.

Yeah, but... it should be done as humanely as possible. Anesthesia when indicated, kind words, etc.

Making an animal suffer is never justified.

As a lymphoma survivor, I praise God in heaven for tortured critters.

Keeping in mind, of course, this is PETA, and we all know how honest & thorough they are in their reports.....

I think God made us to die at a certain age so
the world wouldn't be so populated. All advanced
medicine has done is to make us live longer but
not improve the quality of life on earth. It has
also created an enormous strain on water and other
    resources because of over population.

In fact, medical waste alone lowers the quality of life by adding pollutants to the environment.

Is death so bad that we need to kill life in order
    to escape it?

Yup. God commands us to heal the sick. Nowhere does he say to put animal's lives anywhere near our own.

And I'm not buying the over-population theory.

BTW, do you know how much arsine gas is produced, as a by-product, in making computers ?

"News programs have been airing ghastly video footage from Afghanistan that shows dogs dying agonizing deaths in al-Qaeda military experiments."

The header identifies al-Quida experiments yet the article blames Israel and America. Makes alot of since to me (NOT).

Of course like Bro-Curtis said its from PITA so anything they claim carries no weight.

"The videotapes, which were taken out of Afghanistan, show dogs dying agonizing deaths after being introduced to poison gas, as well as Al Qaeda operatives practicing ambushes and kidnapping. Most of the tapes appear to have been made before Sept. 11, although some show television coverage of the attacks in New York and Washington. "

This wasn't medical experimentation, it was just some people killing a dog with a nerve agent.

I think that experimentation on humans should be widened. So many of life's also-rans could help humanity much more by letting scientists use their bodies for this.

If a dog has to suffer in order to provide a new medicine to cure a certain type of cancer, are you saying that it is not justified? There is medical testing protocols that do not allow for pain killers, anti-anziety or other medications.

Would you consider testing these items on humans without animal testing?

God placed man to rule over the animals. I see nothing that indicates the type of rule. Do you see anything in your Bible regarding the treatment of animals?

Also, I see the Bible as being very clear on the value of human life. It seems as if PETA people will back the humane treatment of animals while not saying much about real factors such as abortion.

Now, let me be clear. I do not think it is right to harm or make an animal suffer unnecessarily, but if there is a choice, or testing of something is required (even weapons), then it should be done to animals and not humans.

Are you also saying that people should be vegetarians? I completely disagree with that. Most vegis are going to have a lack in hormonal balances and necessary enzymes only found in meat.

Human were made to eat meat and therefore do not produce these chemicals.

God gave animals to man for food after the flood.

And their treatment of animals is the least of our problems with Al Qaeda, ain't it ?

Absolutely, Bro. Curtis. We see hundreds of people killed by terrorists on 9/11. We see suicide bombers kill Iraqi citizens and our soldiers every week. We see suicide bombers blow up stores in Israel and we're worried about dog being gassed?

    Where are our values?

Hi Joseph, I wish I could take credit for it. I saw it on the back of a car with a picture of a cow just last Sunday. I laughed so hard I almost ran off the road.
