One person's treasure is another person's trash.
When each of us came to Christ, we trusted that our understanding was truth. Now if I come along, and claim your understanding was not truth, but trash, how do you suppose you would react?
Are we able to reconsider what we have already accepted as truth?

Nothing wrong with a tradition - as long as you keep it in perspective.
For example - why do many churches have SS before worship service?
not a problem - on the other hand having SS after church is fine also
Or you may have Worship service (CCM) then SS - then Worship service (trad music)
(well in this case - you have 2 separate churches! -& that is a separate discussion)
That would especially towards KJVOIf it is truth, treasure it. If it is just tradition, trash it!

I am more TRO than KJVO. I do not see it as broke so I have no need to fix it, but many of the others are broken because they have the wrong foundation and hermeneutic.

We must. If it is not correct, we must dump it. If it bears no fruit, dump it. If it is broke, fix it or fling it. I have had to reexamine things over the years. Some things needed tweaked and other needed dumped. I am still finding things that do not appear to be what I was told.
Paul did not go to Heaven and "that which is perfect" has not come. I am sire that the list will go on until Glory!
I think the key is humility. Nobody likes it when I tell them their doctrine is false doctrine, and I sure do not like it when they tell me I do not know what I am talking about. If we are so deeply entrenched in confirmation bias, seeing only what we saw before, a verse that says "a" will be seen as still saying "b."
For example, I read 2 Thessalonians 2:13 and see individuals are chosen for salvation through faith in the truth, a conditional election, but every single Calvinist says, no it does not, and I do not know what I am talking about.
Thus our forum is filled with petty bickering posts, driven by pride, and not humility.

Well, I am neither Calvinist nor Arminian as both theories are flawed. I used to say that I was a Calamin, but I prefer Biblicist and that is not meant to be cocky or arrogant. Those two dead theologians have caused angst in the Body than need be. It like the old Certs commercial that said you are both right and in this case you are both wrong. I no longer argue in this area. It is useless.
You are correct, there is a pride issue, but each side sees the other one as being proud.
