Van will not reveal his sources. He keeps them close to his vest. He has the tendency to lift every now and then, that is plagiarize.
I would hope that he isn't a plagiarist. I really don't care, but the stigma to credibility is never good.

I want to read from the sources so that I may more completely enter into educational discussion.

There is no other hidden agenda, merely educational.

Colossians 1:23 (interpretive translation)
Since you are persisting in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.

Thus the proof of being reconciled is persisting in the faith and not shifting from the hope of the gospel! Our eternal security is provided by God protecting our credited faith, so we are unable to not persist if we are born anew.

Dr. Bob's rule #6: 6. Do not attack the other poster; if you want to question the opinion, that's fine. But do so in a God honoring way. Don't attack the person; the goal is to build up and win for the truth's sake.

And you honor this rule?

Your view of faith and the persistence in which you present that view does not credit you with not being in error.

All saving faith has its origin in God, for such faith is perfect and perfected in us as we grow in wisdom and understanding.

ONLY good and PERFECT gifts come from above and no human has anything perfect or even perfected without God's endowment.

Clearly a rule 6 violation

The fictional "gift of faith" is a revision of scripture's truth that we are saved by way of our credited faith. Romans 4:4-5: Romans 4:23-24: Ephesians 2:8.

Galatians 3:26 (interpretive translation - decryption version)
For you are all children of God by way of your credited faith in Christ Jesus.

Here God uses the "faith path" to cause believers to be spiritually born anew.

You are a Class One hypocrite Van. You violate your "principle" regularly.
Remember Bobby Talks With His Pastor?
Parody falls within the common usage category, thus your charge is a material false statement. All Calvinist do is change the subject by making false charges about the messengers of truth.

Note the topic of Translation Encryption is nowhere to be found.

One common phrase, found in about 13 verses is "through or by faith." "Through translates the Greek preposition "dia" and when used to show instrumentality, can be translated as "by means of" or "by way of" when "faith" is in the "genitive" case.

Romans 4 teaches God credits our faith as righteousness for our benefit. Thus the phrase indicates God uses the "faith" path in bestowing His blessing upon a person or people. Thus a less encrypted version of the phrase is "by way of your credited faith."

To claim God bestows His blessings using the way of uncredited faith is a denial of the obvious. To claim God bestows His blessings "not through or not by way of credited faith" reflects a liberal rewrite of scripture.

Ephesians 3:17 (Interpretive translation - decryption version)
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts by way of your credited faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

Here we see a bumper crop of God's blessings being bestowed upon those whose faith has been credited as righteousness by God. First in the list is being sealed within Christ with the Spirit of Christ. Next, those placed into Christ are made firm in Christ which includes being rooted and grounded in His love, such that we have an intimate knowledge of Christ's glorious love which goes beyond acknowledgement and becomes the controlling influence of our lives.

You lifted and entire "conversation" without giving credit to the author. Something tells me you "borrow" without sourcing quite often.

Folks, take a gander at posts 84, 86, 90 and 91. All address the behavior of a poster, rather than the topic. All violate Rule 6.
Do not let these fault finding posts of fictitious fabrications sidetrack discussion of biblical truth.

No, I stated my goal.

A great many of the posts from the calvinist thinkers use citations.

I want to read contextually from where you got your quotes. That in no means is detracting, misrepresenting, or questioning your presentation. I have no desire to change the subject, why would I?

So, would you kindly cite from where you are quoting?
I wish Van would be honest and mature enough to do what you have asked. Alas, he will not grow or change.

You left out a material part of the passage. "Since there is only one God" or "Since God is one."

You have no right to slice up God's Word.
I have a right to study God's word and arrive at an understanding.

Romans 3:30 (Interpretive translation - decryption version)
since indeed God who will justify the Jewish circumcised based on their credited faith and the Gentile uncircumcised by way of their credited faith is undivided and consistent.

Here God uses the "faith path" to bestow justification upon Jews and Gentiles alike. Note the concept of "One God" is decrypted as "undivided and consistent."
