Has anyone done the Trinity Bible College program? I work as a paramedic and cannot take the time to go back to regular school. Any thoughts or experiences with school welcome.

Did some graduate work with Trinity (Evansville, IN) and was very pleased with the quality and challenge of the work.

Know some folks that did college level work and felt it compared in many ways to conventional classes.

Two thumbs up.

Scott, when you refer to Trinity Bible College, you should defind the location. As Dr. Bob pointed out, the one he is familiar with is OK (two thumbs up).

But as I was looking at the Internet, there are many shapes and forms unde the same title: Trinity Bible College. They even have under the banner of the Assemblies of God. So, if you wish to study at a Baptist Bible school, you should research their website and their doctrinal statement first.

The one in Jacksonville, FL. for example, is a good one. Our Pastor is one of the Board mebers there.

BTW, they are working on candidate status for full accrediting with North Central Accrediting Association (the real one) for both their campus program AND the external.

I am praying about working with them as a rep for the mountain west

One of their VPs is a friend of mine, and he told me the NCACS was coming back in the FALL for their fifth visit--when accreditation comes through, they are looking at a massive increase in enrollment.

Thank all of you for the information. I feel the Lord calling me to ministry. This is a large step for a little paramedic. I have faith he will show me the way and provide.

Scott,

I also have taken work at Trinity, I finished my D.Min. there in 1989. I am also a EMT-Intermediate in Wisconsin. I do EMT work as a volunteer in my community while pastoring and now directing our state fellowship.

Trinity is a great choice for distance learning.

Circuitrider - you're an EMT (intermediate) AND a Doctor? Does that create a conflict when they ask on an ambulance run if there is a doctor around??

(I know your doctorate is like mine, in pastoral ministries)

I hope Scott can find encouragement from the great variety of folks JUST LIKE HIM who have gone on to distance ed and gotten excellent training.

Oh, wait a minute. I take back my recommendation if they accept students from Arkansas!

Yep, Arkansas students are "excepted?" I mean accepted.

As a working pastor, I had a desire to attend a conservative school but didn't have the time to attend classes. Trinity's correspondence courses were perfect for me. I could work at my own pace (within their deadlines, of course), and still work.

Others have attended Trinity upon my recommendation, too. (

Some for "you know where").
