I was watching some of the other clips from that person's YouTube website, which I cannot link to because some of these tv "preachers" have a problem with foul language. Anyway what was up with this Gene Scott person? I ask about him because his "wife", who looks alot younger than he, comes on tv here late at night. I have known something just was not right but after seeing some of those clips with his "preaching" I know something is not right. I do understand that he is dead now.

Gene Scott is 100% pure wacko with his own gospel, and now his wife has taken up preaching his gospel.

lol...more fun shameless commercialization of Christianity that does nothing but discredit ourselves

almost as good as Creflo saying "it's a sin to be poor"

btw: Gene Scott is a hoot! I love watching him.

He passed away about two years ago, but I still can catch him on the 'net when I need a good laugh. Brilliant guy, but crazy. My favorite clip is him cussing out people for not sending in their money! lol...gets me thought a tough meeting anytime.

==There were some other clips that I did not link to (due to content) that showed Gene Scott. One had him in a hotel room in a very "un-preacherly" (is that a word??) situation with some playboy girls. Don't know what that was about. Does anyone here? The various clips I have seen of Scott make him look rude and mean. His wife, who is on tv now days, looks alot younger than he is. Not only that I can't understand her teaching method(s). She puts verses on these boards in several languages. I can't figure it out. Why is it important for me, or anyone other than missionaries, how a certain African nation translates a verse? The whole thing is odd and makes little sense to me. Looks like they are just showing off. I have not been able to follow her teachings long enough to discern her doctrines. Also she comes on late, late at night (like 1am) so I am usually half asleep in bed when I see her teaching.

I have problems with Gene Scott, but now that he is dead, it's moot. Was he truly saved? I don't know.

Was he brilliant? Yes. Did that make him saved or able to share the word? Definitely not.

I have watched his wife teach a few times (yes, at 1:00 am!). Her native language is not English. She, like he was, is very intelligent. She speaks multiple languages.

Her teaching method is that she primarily takes one or two verses, breaks them down very meticulously  into Greek and/or Aramaic and puts them in the context of other passages of the bible. I've never seen her discuss any verses in an African language.

I can't say that I have disagreed with anything she has said, but just her being associated with Dr. Scott gives me the willies.....let alone her being married to him.

I can't say that I can know her doctrine, because I haven't watched her for the complete hour more than once or twice.

One thing she did say once that made me laugh was this....."I don't know why people want to say that the Great Flood was just a local flooding and not world-wide like the bibles implies. If the Great Flood were just a localized flooding, then there would have been no need for an ark and no need for animals to board it. God would have said to Noah the year before it happened, "Noah, take yourself and your family and start walking......in this direction......and don't stop walking until I tell you to."

My mind is pretty made up on Dr. Scott......not necessarily his salvation, because I don't know that, but my mind is made up that he was not a proper teacher of the bible.

I'm still out on his wife......but just her association with him makes me lean not in favor of her.

==I think it was some African language but I could be wrong. It certainly was not Greek, Hebrew, or anything like that.

==I don't know that I have disagreed with "her" on anything. However when I have seen her on the tv it has been after midnight and I have been in bed as well. So I can't say I have been carefully following her teachings (etc). Honestly with her constant referencing to various languages it gets confusing. Maybe that is simply because I am tired or something, I don't know.

==Is she on a whole hour? Who sits up that late to watch a whole hour long preaching show? I think I have managed to get through fifteen to twenty minutes before I am asleep. Not saying that her teaching is so boring that it puts me to sleep! ;)

==Good point. One thing that does make me nervous about her, however, is that I hear her saying that the translations must be corrected. Maybe her points are correct, I have not taken the time to examine any of her claims, but it still makes me nervous when I hear someone say that over and over again.

==I never watched him on tv. Never even heard of him. However I did see those clips on Youtube and, well, if I had known of him I would not have watched. He seemed unstable. Maybe even dangerous. As for his wife, well she is very young to be with an old guy like that. I realize it happens, after all there is no accounting for taste, but in this context it did raise my eyebrows.

Does anyone know if Gene Scott had any morality problems? I ask because I saw some video with him lying in bed with several young women crawling all over him. The clip is on Youtube, I don't think I should link it to here.
