I can't believe I had to write that headline. It looks like President Trump will stop the government shutdown since he accepted an agreement between the Dems and Repubs to reopen the government. Mr. Trump got nothing in return. What in the blazes is going on here?

What in the blazes is going on here?

Air traffic becoming major safety concern with Super Bowl coming up. Behind the scenes this was a bi-partisan endeavor to bring this about, evidently there are several Dem defectors that have caught heat from constituents.

Fat lady ain't sung yet.

Trump caved. Democrats said the only way they would consider border security is after the government was reopened. That is exactly how it unfolded.

Trump had a mini cave when he agreed to postpone the State of the Union address.

Along with Roger Stone being indicted, not a good week for Trump.

Actually it's a good thing. He tried.

Some are saying the shutdown was for naught. Not true it showed the unrelenting leftist desire to depopularize him even at the expense of a real and present danger to America..

Nancy and company will still not give a dime for the wall. Three more weeks of after school fisticuffs.

Then he will declare the emergency which will be resisted and probably find its way to the SCOTUS.

Wibur Ross didn't help any with his blunt assessment yesterday, i.e., "they could take out loans"...

(CNSNews.com) - President Donald Trump said on Christmas Day that the partial shutdown of the government will not end until Congress has approved the funding for his border “wall, a fence, whatever they would like to call it.”

“I can't tell you when the government is going to be open,” Trump said in an exchange with reporters in the Oval Office.

“I can tell you it's not going to be open until we have a wall, a fence, whatever they would like to call it. I'll call it whatever they want,” Trump said.

Trump didn't cave, he played it well.
.
Trump got the Dems to agree to form a committee to establish what is necessary to protect the border and on that committee will be qualified people that will insist the wall is necessary. So, now if the Dems do not follow the expert’s advice their true motive of not really wanting to protect the border will be exposed and Trump will be justified to use emergency measures.

In the meantime, Trump has shown that he is humble enough to bend to the Dems stubbornness of not negotiating with the shutdown in progress, he’s gotten the workers paid and showed that he cares with that gesture, he let Dems look childish for canceling the SOTU and did so without backlash and whether or not the Dems agree to the funding after 3 weeks Trump will get his wall in the end like he said he would despite their every effort to obstruct.

Also, I'll make a prediction. Permanency for the Dreamers will likely be part of the deal to get the wall and frankly, I have no problem with that once the border is buttoned up nice and tight. In fact, I believe Trump's heart for the Dreamers was for this all along...

What possible good can another committee do?

I think that the public should be asked to donate and the wall built by private donations.

The Democrats are depraved.
