Donald Trump focused his inaugural address on ‘we’ the American people, leaving himself out of the speech almost entirely.

In contrast to his predecessor Barack Obama, who had a habit of mentioning himself often throughout his speeches, Trump mentioned himself just three times in two sentences, while referring to “we” the American people 45 times.

The first time Trump referred to himself came about halfway through the speech, when he said: “The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans.”

Trump's speech was simply a rewrite of numberless political speeches. This is the type of speech he gave in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Wisconsin. He did not give any indication of how he will do what he promised. He presented no ideas. There was nothing of substance. I had hopes, but was disappointed.

I wonder how all those Republican congressmen/women and senators feel about the way he insulted them. Yes, he insulted Democrats also. But the insult is greatest to the present group of Republicans in Congress.

They deserve it, as Democrats are usually wrong, but the Republicans bought the PC line!
