Often I would like them to remove the daily news from the telly.

I like some of the Canadian shows, but generally prefer the radio.

I love Corner Gas, but it is in its final year,,strictly Canadian comedy.

Also enjoy the CSI shows. The Amazing Race isn't too bad and I also view the Idol shows. Last season the show was all rocky music, so it wasn't so hot, either.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I wish that all the great shows that I grew up on in the 50's and 60'sd would be shown. Hop-Along Cassidy, Cisco Kid and Pauncho, The Lone Ranger, Sky King, and many more that were good, clean family shows. Of course, they wouldn't interest many people today since they would have profanity, violent fights, sex, homosexuals, or violent car chases that resulted in someone being killed. Of course, I have to admit that the violence does make it more exciting. The profanity, however, could be left out. They're trying to make TV more realistic. However, I watch TV to escape from reality for a while since I live reality all the time. That's why I love Sci Fi, ghost stories, and horror shows so much; it's not real.

Roy Rogers and his wife Dale Evans were clean on their shows and clean in their lives. They loved the Lord, preached the gospel and lived it before all who would watch.

When they sang Happy Trails, they meant every word.

Cheers, and thanks for the reminder,

    Jim

Do you remember the lyrics to Happy Trails?

If someone is savy enough, can you find link to the song being sung by Roy and Dale.

We don't get TV Land, so technically this thread is not for me. However, I LOVE the old shows and am working on expanding my library. For Christmas I got the complete Andy Griffith Show series. I have some Hillbillies. We have some Green Acres, but that show was stupid. I like the Ma and Pa Kettle ones-----those could be my kids.

I saw a commerical for Mork and Mindy (on one of our Andy Griffith DVDs) and that looks so funny!
