    1) According to premillennialism, while Christ is reigning in His glory physically on the earth for 1000 years, will death and rebellion against Christ still exist?

    2) If the answer to number 1 above is yes, then will the saints who have been enjoying the matchless bliss of heaven return back to the earth with Christ and live once again where death and rebellion exist?

That is why I'm an Amillennialist as this doctrine of the premillennialist does not make any sense!... Brother Glen

    In very minimal public displays.

Yes ... to reign and rule with him as his bride. The church saints will have glorified bodies and will be reigning.

I am a premillennialist because it is the only thing that makes sense. I just can't see how God lets so many promises go unfulfilled. There are a number of good works addressing these issues that explain "how it makes sense." See for starters The Greatness of the Kingdom by McClain. That will answer a lot of your questions.

I am in agreement with my brother and Pastor Larry. Death and rebellion will be sovereignly allowed while Christ is seated in Jerusalem. Not too much thought is needed in understanding Zechariah 14:16-19 where God says that Egypt will be punished because they refuse to come to Israel to worship the Sovereign of the universe, even our Savior. While He allows this rebellion there is also a subsequent penalty. The penalty---' . . . no rain and the plague.'

While, we the then glorified saints will have spiritual bodies having moved from Heaven [Rev. 19:14] to the earth at the Second Coming--we will live and reign with Him 1,000 years. The remaining sinners who survive the Great Tribulation will simply continue in the world as {flesh and blood people,} and will died when their lives are completed here. The technical dynamics of their receiving a spiritual body, if Christian at the time of their demise, is not detailed in the Bible, to my knowledge. The lost who survive in the Millennial Age will be raised from the dead as noted in Rev. 20:5 along with the billions of lost souls from the time of Adam and Eve. They obviously, will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment. [Rev. 20:11] Hope this helps.

Thanks for all of the answers so far. Now, just wondering, leaving the bliss of heaven to return to an earth where death and rebellion still exist is supposed to be an improvement, is that correct? Would it not be a retrogression as far as spiritual bliss is concerned?

Not when you are reigning with Christ as his bride in fulfillment of his promises.

Thanks for the replies. I had heard from non-premillennialist sources that this is what premillenialism was teaching, so I guess they are honest in what they are saying about this school of eschatology.

    Once again, thanks. [IMG]

Hey, Ken, we meet again. [IMG]

Christ is reigning for 1000 years with a rod of iron (right at the same passage about the white horses!) [IMG]

So it looks like in a rule with a rod of iron, any rebellion won't be outward or open. But may build up underneath the surface, so that when Satan is loosed from the bottomless pit, the rebellion will bubble up to the surface and explode!

Also during the millenium, the lion will lay down with the lamb. No more carnivores. Veggies for all. Long life. Wisdom and knowledge, science, medicine, technology will be increased. The physical earth will be restored, some believe, to the original quality of Eden. Mankind may be doing space travel then. Of course those of us with glorified bodies won't need a vehicle. We will think it and be wherever. Peace will reign. Jesus Christ will reign! It will be interesting. The Bride will be there. I hope I'll be involved in zoology then, looking out for the big cats! [IMG] It will be a wonderful time. [IMG] We have no idea what all is in store for us. God is so good. [IMG]

In some areas, they are accurate but a great many, if not most that I have read, do create a number of straw men or false dichotomies. They address real beliefs of dispensationalists rather than the essential doctrines of dispensationalism. I will agree there are a great many wackos who claim dispensationalism. I am embarrassed by a great many of them. But what they are saying is not dispensationalism; it is their own beliefs.

I suprised, Brother Tyndale1946, that you are an amillienist. I wouldn't have thought so.

Anyway, I'm still working through eschotology but I do have a qustion for this 1000 year reign. If us Christians are living forever but the non-Christians are dying around us wouldn't they notice? They can see Christ, therefor it is not really a matter of not believing in God. But the rebellion is not exactly outward. But it would be outward enough because as soon as we seem them getting sick, we know they are in rebellion, they are not trusting in Christ. Or would it be that those who become Christians in this 1000 year reign first have to die off and then instantly come flying back with glorifed bodes? Do glorified Christians have children or do only non-believers have children? Or maybe Christians and non-Christians alike have children, but only before they die and then zoom back with their glorifed bodies?

It all seems kind of weird to me.

Pete, based upon the facts in Scripture as we know them there will be three groups in the Millennial kingdom.

1.) Raptured saints from the church age will return with Christ (our function is not spelled out in Scripture), but we seem to have some governmental responsibilities of ruling. We will be in glorified bodies.

2.) At the beginning of the Kingdom everyone who comes out of the Tribulation will be saved, as the lost will have been taken away to judgment (Matthew 25). These will be living in normal human bodies and will have children. For a while at least with all saved people and no devil present to tempt, things will be great! [IMG]

3.) The third group are the ones who are born of those living souls who came out of the Tribulation. They will have to be saved by trusting in the Lord. Out of these ranks will come the rebellious ones who will fight with Satan against God.

Obviously some of the details of we wonder about are unrevealed in Scripture, and we will have to wait until we get there to see. But then that makes it more fun waiting :D

Perhaps at some point there will be an eschatology only section on the board where amillennialism, postmillennialism, premillennialism, historicism, symbolism, futurism, along with the myriad of subsets within each of these groups can be discussed, and not be intermingled with other doctrinal subjects. [IMG]

Of course, everyone involved would end up looking like economists(if lined up end-to-end never reaching a conclusion) but it would be fun anyway. :D

    Hello!

    I am amillennialist.

I was premillennialist for a long time.

I will discuss on millennial issue more later, because it is past 4 am.

I will explain to you why I am not premillialist.

    This might be hotly debate.

Most Baptists are premillennialists, I am awares of them.

    Have a nice day!

    In Christ
    Rev. 22:20 - Amen!
