Good. We have some other world leaders to check the excesses of President Bush in world affairs.

Yes. We have a group of dupes who are going to let the Iranians develop nukes right under their noses... unfortunately after being bashed so relentlessly about Iraq, Bush is going along with this ill-conceived scheme of appeasement. They have already rejected any agreement that requires them to stop enrichment... I tend to believe that they are NOT GOING TO STOP ENRICHMENT... since they've pretty much thumbed their nose at our saber rattling.

BTW, Whether you admit it or not and whether we admit that we are at war with them or not, these people already consider themselves in a holy war against us.

I just hope that more people come to this realization before it is too late.

Care to offer any proof that Iran is even interested in developing nuclear weapons and if Iran had them that it would use them in a first strike against us or our allies?

Sometimes I think that George W. Bush considers the U.S. to be at war with the whole rest of the world - maybe not England(at least with Blair in charge).

They have been offered all of the materials and components they need for power production and have refused.

They wouldn't consider it a first strike. They consider anyone who stands in the way of the spread and domination of Islam to already be an infidel offender. That's how they justify terrorism that kills innocent people... they aren't innocent in the Islamic extremist's mind.

What proof would you have accepted that al Qaeda would use planes in a "first strike" on 9/10/2001?

That would be another thing you are wrong about, huh?

These Islamic extremists, some of whom are in charge of Iran, are at war with us... not their nations, their religion... which in their way of thinking requires the support of their nation. They believe in the Islamic state.

Iran is a sovereign nation. It has a right to self defense - whether you or President Bush like it or not.

Until there is evidence that Iran is attempting to build nuclear weapons and is intent on using them on a first strike I will continue to oppose the U.S. starting another preventive war in the Middle East.

If we go to war with Iran it is quite likely that the Iraqis will turn on us - our troops could end up as the middle of a Shiite sandwich.

What a joke this agreement is.

If not accepted, it triggers no sanctions or military action. The Iranians must be struggling to contain their snickers as they respond... rejecting the offers of course.

As for them having a right to self-defense, who is threatening them Ken? If they live peaceably and don't support terrorism and other acts of war against other nations, who do you think would be interested in attacking them? Us? Nope. We'd rather have peace and oil.

If you think that the world will be a better, more peaceful place with nuclear armed Iran then you are delusional. You are proposing to leave my children with a world in which terrorists operate with impugnity for fear of nuclear reprisal. You propose a world where support of Israel will ensure terrible acts of terrorism, possibly even nuclear. You propose a world where a guy who questions the Holocaust and has expressed deep hatred for Jews and Christians alike is armed with nukes to bully the world with.

I hope that you won't get what you're asking for... but fear that you are going to. God help our children. I hope they can forgive us.

Further Ken, if their intentions are peaceful, why would they reject offers to short cut the whole process? It would be less expensive and less difficult for them.

Only a fool or an idiot believes their ambitions are benign.
