UConn bites the dust!

maybe it's nice to be a foreigner who doesn't know all the schools. We come to games for basketball without prejudice. George Mason has played excellent basketball throughout the tournament and deserves to go all the way.

This is how much I know about this basketball stuff - I heard them say "Uconn" on TV and thought they were saying "Yukon," as in Alaska!

I NEVER post on the Sports forum, but I'm excited about George Mason winning because it's just down the road from me (a few miles)! It's the school that a lot of kids around here attend and that my son's friends have attended. Many go for 2 yrs. to NOVA (Northern VA Community College) and then transfer on to Mason.

So it's great to see a local school do so well! Go GMU!

 

Thats why they play the games. The better team won today. That is why its called March Maddness. I found it very funny that Matt Leinart full of pride said of USC after losing to Texas, "...we are still the better team, they just made the plays." Ha being from Texas don't make me laugh.

According to Leinart Uconn was the better team, but guess what ... they lost. I love it when pride takes a fall. Florida is going the have more than they can handle with GM.

 

I believe I heard that George Mason led the nation in defense among Div. I schools for the year, so maybe they are a wee bit better than some suspected.
