No surprise here - quite expected, actually.

The United Nations has lost touch with reality. It is time for the United States to divorce the United Nations...and we keep the building.

Remember when the U.N. went to the Jew-bashing Palestinian Peace Accord Summit, complete with an Israel-less map of the mideast ?

I have absolutely no respect for the United Nations. They are one of the sorriest, most corrupt organizations on the planet. They should have disbanded years ago.

The Israelis have a right to self defense but they need to take extra special care not to harm civilians. Otherwise, they are acting no differently than the radicals in Hamas.

The United Nations is in need of reform. It is an organization that has the potential to do a great amount of good for mankind.

That is a stupid statement. There is no moral equivalence between inoccent civilians being accidently killed in the fog of war and Hamas targeting innocent civilians on purpose.

Oh, so the power station wasn't taken out on purpose, it was an accident?

Of course they took out the power stations on purpose. It is called good military tactics to cut off all communications and power for the enemy. I am sorry innocents have to suffer for it, but then again, they probably should have thought of that when they elected terrorists to govern them.

Why doesn't Israel just take over the West Bank and Gaza completely and clamp down with martial law since we can't vote both sides over there off the planet and let them settle this elsewhere?

Just let Israel clamp down and let Israel deal with the consequences. And if Israel can't handle the consequences, then tough. It's time for us to wash our hands of the whole mess over there. Both sides seem intent on beating each other into a bloody mess. So the rest of the world should just let 'em.

Israel is in the process of taking back the Gaza Strip as we speak, and believe me, they can handle the consequences just as they have many times before. I think you are just upset because we are finally seeing the stupidity of Bush and Rice's foreign policy in Israel that you seemed to think was so brilliant. I have no wish to vote either side off the planet over there. I want peace just as bad as you do. We are not gonna get there using yours and Condi failed policies. I think it is finally time to listen to Natan and I and demand reciprocity and real accountability for peace. You are making stupid and anti-semitic arguments by trying to paint Israel as the moral equivalence of Hamas. You really should rethink that.

Fine. No problem. Let's put you and Natan in charge. I'm all for it. Have at it.

I am not an isolationist. Whoever heard of an isolationist who is a supporter of the Council on Foreign Relations and a subscriber to Foreign Affairs?

Remember, I supported the Dubai deal. The isolationists were on the other side.

By the way, nice blog you have there.

You are an isolationist through and through. I don't care if you are a member of the illuminate in Poncho's wildest twisted fantasy land.

Care to prove it or do you just engage in character assassination as a passing hobby?

By the way, which side of the Dubai deal were you on - mine or the isolationists'?

    1. Care to prove that Israel is no better than Hamas or do you just engage in anti-semitic slander as a passing hobby?

    2. BTW, I believe I was undecided on the Dubai Port Deal. Honestly, I can't remember. I think I still am undecided as I have'n't studied it much. If I made a comment to the contrary, then I take that back.

==I am sure Israel will do, is doing, all it can to avoid civilian deaths. However in modern warfare civilian deaths are sometimes unavoidable, that is just a fact of life. Israel tries to keep the number of civilian dead as low as possible. I am sure that Hamas (etc) will try to inflate the civilian death numbers.

As for the power station(s) being taken out...that is just a fact of war. Put the enemy in the dark, make him blind. There is no way to make warfare convenient.

Abolishment, I believe, is the reform needed most.
