UNITY IN CHRIST
Romans 15.5.14
Verses 5 and 14 related to one another in terms of unity in Christ. To have "the same mind with one another, means to have at least identical and matching understanding of the Holy Scripture and its meaning without interference of human doctrines, creeds, agendas, believes, and traditions.
Admonishing one another means judging one another in patience, in tolerance, and with love on the basis of Holy Scripture. While Christ and Paul teach number of times not to judge one another, it means not to judge perverted and distorted way, unfairly and wrongly, but to judge according to the Statutes and Commandments of the Holy Scripture only, in order to have in the church order, holiness, unity, and love for one another as Christ taught His church.
Commandment "do not judge" also have parallel meaning with another Commandment "do not kill." Some Christians think that Christians should not kill, which is pure truth, not to kill innocent or punish one who does not deserve death. So, it may look as a contradiction but in actually it does not. GOD forbid to kill innocent person but not the guilty one of sin that deserves death.
For this reason, GOD in His Laws issued punishment by death for those sins that deserve punishment by death. Does GOD contradict Himself in this Statement "Do not kill?" Absolutely not. If GOD has given authority to His people Israel to judge according to His Law and so the same authority applies and to Christians because they are also people of GOD. The Law of Justice does not discriminate between Jews and Christians. Christian must judge according to GOD'S Laws which righteousness and truth, as GOD Himself does.
The rule of the GOD'S Law will be conducted by Christians but of course it will be in the future then Christ will come and rule the world according to His will and His Justice.
GOD gave special authority to judge to some individuals before, according to their Faith, character and personality, to all His faithful, among whom was Moses, David, Solomon, to His 12 Apostles, to Prophets, and certainly to many others who deserve and who are worthy of such position as to be a judge for GOD and enforce His Laws.
The same principals applies and to words "Do not judge." We have right to judge one another and entire world, but our judgment must derive and be based on the Scriptures of GOD and not on our own point of view or our own preferences, our judgment must be righteous, based on truth and fear of GOD, according to His Statutes.
This is not the first time Paul brought this issue to our attention, because early Christians had many confusions, misunderstanding, and misinterpretations of the Law of GOD then it comes to Justice and in order to resolve all these issues and differences Paul touched this subject with a special care and let the church know that they should not tolerate any godlessness, deceit, false teachings, and all sorts of sins, but be vigilant against all sorts of transgressions and keep the church clean and holy before their Lord.
Christ Himself teach that divided kingdom cannot stand, and so it directly applies and to the Christian "Kingdom" - the Church, which is severely divided in itself and unable to function as Christ and His Apostles teach, warned, and urged to function. Division in the churches provide a fertile ground for Satan to penetrate the Church and destroy it from inside out, making it dysfunctional and even more, serve Him instead of GOD and promote his agenda and his will.
But according to some prophesies, GOD will revive the Church in the future in the same way as He will revive Israel again and will write His Laws on the hearts of all who deserve it and eventually will reshape the entire world according to His will and His desire.
We should be the image of Christ just like Christ is the Image of His Father GOD, and so, we must be like Christ in everything, in order not only to save ourselves but to help save entire world from imminent destruction and death. We are the servants of Christ, just like Christ is the Serves His Father and us.
