Now, just tiny Clear Creek Baptist Bible College remains under the thumb of the Convention.
Not that long ago, KBC had five colleges in its portfolio. Cumberlands' declaration of independence follows Georgetown's and Campbellsville's. Another Bible college (Mid Continent) went belly up several years ago while still associated with the Convention.

Are you suggesting the KBC bears responsibility for the belly-upedness of Mid-Continent, or just noting the belly-upedness as the reason it is no longer affiliated with KBC?

    Thanks.

Yeah, it's kind of hard to be affiliated any more now that it's defunct! I believe Mid Continent was more so a local outfit in western Kentucky, but 'affirmed' by the state Convention.

Previous threads discussing Mid Continent Baptist Bible College (founded back in 1947, folded a few years ago after rebranding itself 'Mid Continent University'):

Sounds like this was an expected end. Was it approved at the KBC meeting?
