I have completly revamped my IFB directory site and wrote a program to scan some existing directories and import them.

Some churches have some questions answered, but feel free to come in and edit questionaires.

There are now over 6800 churches and I am working on getting more in as quick as possible.

    Check it out at http://www.ifbreformation.org/IFB_Listing.aspx

For those of you who have not seen this directory, it is unique in that is not only list's churches contact info, but also has a questionaire attached to each site. These questions have to do with issues the distinguish IFBs from each other.

I apologize Dr. Bob. The server where I rent space said somehow the database became corrupted and they had to restore it - it took all day yesterday and was finally back up in the evening.

Hopefully that does not happen again, I think I know what caused the problem and fixed it. If it is there stuff and not me, I will switch webservers.

    It is back up now.

Looks pretty good, I tried out a few churches and they seemed to be listed with good info. My church is there.

Are you thinking of including IFB ministries that are local church focused, for instance websites for state IFB church fellowships or Associations? Those that are not denominational in nature. Just curious. The site is very well done. One of the best functioning directories I have used.

    Thanks for the comments.

The easy way to add a IFB ministry such as a Missions agency or college would be to add it just like a church with all the information, hopefully the name would clearly indentify it as not being a church but something else.

The reason that I ask is that it would be difficult for say, the Wisconsin Fellowship of Baptist Churches to answer your questions to get listed since there is a wide variety within the various churches on many issues of peripheral doctrine and association with colleges, etc. Unless you would allow no response on most of them since most associations or fellowships would not want to speak for their autonomous member churches in most of those areas.

No response to the questions is acceptable. In fact, once you add the church in the contact screen, you could exit out at the questions and the organization is already added. It just won't have any questions attached to it. Thats perfectly fine.

I would prefer, but I do not force, that churches answer at least some questions that they can.

Thank you so much for this.
When I first joined the BB, I was Southern Baptist and had no clue about all the others. After being here and reading so much about everything, I know my beliefs are much more IFB, so I am looking for a church that is close to me.

    This is a great help!

    Larry,

    Is pre-millenial a required fundamental?

And why would an organization not like your group?

</font>[/QUOTE]I think premillennial is not a required fundamental - although it is mentioned in many lists -but they are after all man-made lists.

Because IFBReformation(my main site) has many articles that attack what I believe to be wrong attitudes and positions of some of my fellow IFBs.

Things like differences on standards on movie theaters and music and Bible translations are areas of contention where I(and many other IFBs) believe reform is needed.

So because I attack positions I believe to be wrong and these people have their church listed in my directory, they might not like that.
